I began to doubt myself as I was in the wings. Then..... They called my nMe in a serious stern voice. Kinda like Miss Abby but softer an kinder, but it was loud like her. As I heard the applause i got in my starting posion. Then the music began I started to dance as i kind if messed up. Usually we look for our moms but I didn't I danced like i have never danced before. The whole time I was saying to myself "1..1...number 1!"

I was in the zone. After my end pose I exited the stage and saw Maddie in the wings. I wished her good luck and hugged her. As I walked away I looked back and she looked worried. Me and my friends watched Maddie through the wings. She was immaculate not a fla nor mistake in site. My heart sank. I thought I could win but I guess it's New Jersey mass Virginia California and more state all over again. As Maddie walked off the stage I ran down the corridor and cried as the girls hugged her.

No one hugged me. Except Maddie. But it was just a good luck hug she I'm proud of you hugs. Should i quit? am I good enough? I was wiping my tears as Clara came and pulled me to the green room. Seeing Clara cheered me up she always makes me smile. When we got in the green room and I was sitting in a swivel chair butting my lip waiting for Abby. Then Abby came. she said "Chloe, you were good. Maddie you were better." I went over to my mom.

Chloe: I don't wanna stay for awards.

Christ: Why sweet pea?

Chloe: It's gonna just be like every other time!

Christi: Shhh! Your being loud! Now tell me what's looked every other time.

Chloe: Maddie wins I loose Abby yells yata yata yata! My mom patted me on the back as I got ready for group.

As we were dancing it just felt weird. i mean the boy nick is Brooke's age and kissing him felt akward. I know Abby put it in our choreography but I hated it. Why couldn't he have kissed Brooke!

After group i put my sweats on for awards I sat on the stage and the solo awards came up.

Comp. dude: SECOND PLACE......

Miss Maddie with mom it will never be the same.

I knew I didn't place.

Comp. dude: FIRST OVERALL.....CHLOE WITH DREAM ON A STAR.

my heart raced as they put a sash on me gave me flowers and a crown and did I mention a trophy. A BIG ONE!

Then the group dance won I let NIA get it. This was another week of success for the ALDC. I was gonna be top I the pyrimid.
