(Part 2) (one-shot)

(Y/N)--

It was the third day, as I sat wrapped in a warm blanket by the hearth. The fire flickered, and the soft sound of burning wood danced with pride in front of me.

I am so thankful that door opened three days ago. Doc was right, I really would have died out there.

My heart skipped a beat when I thought of his face. How kind he has been to me, and how he has been taking care of me like I were to shatter any second.

Heat rushed to my cheeks. Thinking of someone like this, in my perspective, is rather...strange. But I couldn't help it. Everything about him made my heart flutter.

I don't want to wait several hours to see him again. I hate my insomnia. It's 23:07 precisely. There couldn't be a chance he'd be up, right?

I answered my own question , taking my heart's chances. I stood on my feet, as I wobbled and stumbled. I had been sitting by the fire for a while, a minor mistake that could be fixed within seconds.

I opened the door, peering down the hall. My breath hitched slightly, as I saw a light on down the hall.

I quietly walked down the hall anxiously. I made it to the doorway to his lab, and I peered into the room without a sound.

"Damn it, damn it...vere did I put mein documents...?" Edward muttered to himself silently. He growled softly, leaning against the table with frustration.

A blush crept on my cheeks, as I watched him carefully. Everything in the world seemed to disappear. My mind wondered over what he was thinking about.

"Hehe...~ Vat are jou doing up zis late, liebling?" Edward asked, suddenly. My face flushed, as if it had bursted into flames. He urged me to come closer, and I did so.

I did so until there was nearly less than one and a half feet apart. My body seemed to relax when I was near him. Almost numb to the world around me.

His arms suddenly slipped around my waist, pulling me close. He leaned so close to my face, our lips not even inches apart. My breath hitched once more from the sudden movement, but I smiled gently as the feeling of being im his arms relaxed me.

"Does someone have insomnia?~" He teased, as I nodded bashfully. I've always had it, and I could hardly sleep more than two hours--sleep isn't even a word to describe it! It was more of my body resting, but not my mind.

Richtofen chuckled to himself as he gazed down at me. He leaned into my ear, speaking softly.

"Hehe...~ No need to vorry lieble, ze doctor vill put jou to sleep personally...~"

He gently pressed his lips against mine, as I wrapped my arms around his neck. I couldn't describe this feeling, nor could I disapprove of it. My body felt rushed, full of adrenaline and desire.

I didn't know how to react, but my body instinctively pressed back with passion. A grin seemed to form on his face, as he pulled away gently. Edward looked me deep into the eyes, a smirk had seemed to have formed now.

I smiled shyly, as my arms still around his neck. I enjoyed this warm embrace, compared to the cold and bitter wasteland outside these walls.

How have I managed to fall for a german doctor within 3 days? Most importantly, where will this take me? I hope that maybe one day that "me" would turn into an "us".
