What would you say the base to a relationship is? Communication? Love? Or maybe we think alike and you'd say trust.
Trust. A foreign thing, I'd say. It's so easy to lose yet so hard to come by. When you gain someone's trust, it's meant to be treated with care. When there's trust invested in you by someone, you're special. You're important. They allow you to see a side when they're most vulnerable. It's different than what they allow the outside world to see, because you gained the privilege to experience the most pure side of them.
Love. That's a different story but just as special. Gaining someone's love can be easy, but hard in terms of letting it go. Someone could love you no matter how much pain you put them through, but won't see you until you let them go. Heartbreak is nearly inevitable when giving your love to someone, but investing your love into one trusting person...you should be protected.
