a black figure stood still in the dark. everyone's breathing was heavy through the silence. no one dared to move a muscle.

blood started to drip down kailyn's lip, the fear paralyzed her body.

the floor creaked again. everyones heads slowly looked to the left. jonah's feet moved slowly though the dark. "JONAH N-" daniel's hand cupped kailyn's mouth. "shh" he whispered into her ear.

the black creature's bones started to crack as its body bent backwards. it's long dark hair covered it's face. now on its hands and knees, screams filled the room. the figure started to growl and crawled fast towards them. jack fell to the ground as it grabbed ahold of his leg. his screams busted everyone's ears as it's teeth planted into his calf.

"NOO" kailyn screamed as tears ran down her face. her hands planted onto the creatures mouth as she pulled it apart. her fingernails ripped its skin. "LET GO OF MY BABY YOU SCUMBAG" she screamed and pushed with all of her might. a cracking sound finished the battle.

there lying on the floor, was the creature. it's long black hair covered the floor. it's lower jaw sat upside down a few feet from it. black goo oozed out of its ears. "w-ha.. w-hat was that?" jonah screeched as he stumbled to his feet. jack's sobs filled the empty room as he held onto the 12 teeth marks on his leg. blood was spewing from it.

kailyn sat alone. a few feet away from everyone. her eyes burned into her bloody fingernails. chunks of skin and black goo were lodged in them. her body shook.

daniel ran over to jack. "what do i do?!" he squealed. tears ran down his face. lauren ran over to daniel and pat his back. "there's nothing we can do" she said. her tears muffled her voice. "here!" daniel spoke up and took off his shirt. his abs were covered in blood. "take this".

daniel wrapped his shirt around jack's calf and put pressure on it. jack yelled and kicked around. pleading that daniel stop. begging for him to just end it all. "no jack. you have to stay. for me." his head tuned back to kailyn. "for her."

jack's face went pale. "stay with me!" daniel screamed. with that, the sound of bones cracking came from the darkness. the creature started to get up. it's legs and arms were healing themselves.

kailyn sprung up to her feet and grabbed a broken piece of wood from the floor. "TAKE THAT B-" the ear piercing scream coming from the creature drowned out kailyn's cursing. blood sprayed up from its back and covered kailyn and jonah. just missing their face.

"we have to get out of here" daniel yelped and looked back to jack. kailyn couldn't except the fact that jack was on his deathbed. the voices in her head drowned reality out.

she walked slowly over to jack and placed her hand on jack's face. his curls red and sticky with blood. "you're going to be ok. ok?" she whispered quietly to him. he coughed and smiled softly. holding her hand and kissed it. she smiled and wiped her face. blood smeared onto it from her arm.

"try and get up" she said nervously. he grabbed her hand and got up on his feet. his right leg dangled like the meat that was hanging from the hooks in the basement. cold and bloodcurdling

"you got it" she said with a smile and helped him over to a dusty chair. he carefully sat down and gritted his teeth. the pain was killing him slowly. kailyn shook her head and ran to lauren who was hugging daniel. "daniel where are those canes that you used as crutches?" kailyn said hopeful.

"right over there" his bloody finger shook as he pointed to the figure. he had dropped them. right where she lie dead. kailyn's heart started to pound as her feet slowly shifted towards the crutches.

the creature was right at her tippy toes. she held her breath as she bent down and picked both canes up. the floor creaked a little but she got them successfully. she exhaled and started to walk back but jumped when she heard the screeching again. her foot lifted and then planted into its skull. splashing blood over everyone this time.

tears started to sting kailyn's eyes as she picked the canes up and ran back to jack. her feet almost slipped out from under her as the skin and blood squished under her converse. she handed jack the canes and watched as he stood up. wincing as the blood rushed down to his leg. soaking daniel's yellow shirt all the way through.

"let's go guys. we gotta find a way out" lauren said. her lip and legs were trembling. the only light source was three windows. boarded up with wood.

a bookshelf was set in the very back of the room. "guys. look!" jonah gasped and pointed at the shelf. everyone huddled together and moved towards it. thunder boomed outside with lightning crashing after it. lighting up the dark room every few seconds.

"what are these books for?" lauren asked pulling a book shelf off. everyone jumped as something clicked loudly. "w-what was that?" jonah asked, skittishly. Daniel's hands moved slowly to the edges of the book shelf and pulled. everyone was silent.

the bookshelf began to scrape against the floor.

everyone gasped.

daniel paused and looked. then continued to pull. revealing a-
