Seven .

I left the room with all the kids , I felt so awkward like I was responsible for what's happening .
" so what now ?! " I asked feeling panicked " we take dart home " Dustin said holding the box up smiling slightly " well you are old enough to do that yourself " I said patting his back and looking at the box .
They all walked though the corridors while I went back to my class arriving late once again , when I walked in there seemed to be no teacher so I guess I was fine but it made me think for a second where the teacher could be .
" Lila ! " I saw Nancy , she's in most of my classes , but I saw a certain look in her eyes there were tears she was crying " Nancy what's wrong ?! " I said walking over to her budging past all the over jocks and pretty girls in my class " it's Steve ! He dumped me " she sobbed " Nancy " I said hugging her " how about a girls night tonight, we'll watch movies do each other's nails stuff like that " I smiled comforting her , she looked up and smiled " that's sounds like a plan "
I hated seeing her like this but all I could think of now is her feeling jealous of me and billy , and not that she liked billy , just me being with a guy after hers dumped her .

( time skip after school )

Me and Nancy walked home together like two little girls having their first sleepover , when I got home I interrupted mum while she was on a phone call to introduce her to Nancy , she seemed ready to put the phone down anyway .
" hey mum ! This is my friend Nancy she's staying the night " I said holding her shoulders " hi Nancy " mum shook her hand " sorry for the bad timing just cold callers " mum smiled a fake smile making me wonder more who was on that phone call " would you girls like any food " mum asked " no thanks , I got us some girly snacks " I said showing Nancy upstairs questioning if girly snacks were really a thing and thinking how unusual I sounded using the term girly .
" ok Nancy , you can have my bed tonight " I smiled doing my best to my feel awkward about all the boxes around my room making it look like I had just left everything .
" thanks Lila , do you want some help unpacking , it could be fun ? " she asked making me feel just that bit worse but I knew it needed to be done " ok then , why not " I said sitting down grabbing a box and pulling it to me opening it , it had old photos and letters I've never really seen it before it might have been one of mums .
I pulled out a photo and it was what looked like my mum and a man , he didn't look like my father , or what I thought he looked like " you ok ? " Nancy came over and sat with me " yeah , old family photos " I said looking back at it the small girl in the picture was me , I recognized my smile , it never changed throughout the years .
" hey this is cute " Nancy said from behind me holding up a baby pink crop top I used to wear "  I guess " I said more engrossed into the pictures " was it yours ? " she asked " yes " I said quietly under my breath " what was that" she smiled and strayed to laugh " yes it was mine " I admitted " try it on ! Please " she begged " Nancy I said was " I said standing up grabbing the shirt " and make it again " she pushed me out the room " go change " she demanded.
I walked into the bathroom putting the shirt over my head and looked in the mirror , I looked girly and I didn't know how I felt about it , it was a weird feeling but the only thought running though my head was that billy would love this .
I walked back into the room to see Nancy leant against the window waiting " woah Lila " she said her eyes widened " thanks " I said shyly rubbing my arm
I looked out the window to suddenly realize that billy was out side I almost lost my breath " you ok " Nancy laughed " yeah thought I saw something that's all " I said faster than expected " ok then " Nancy turned around to pick up a box , I ran to her and grabbed her shoulders " how about we watch a movie instead " I said looking directly at billy out the window wording for him to go knock at the door , I don't know if he understood but I walked me and Nancy down stairs " mum me and Nancy wanna watch a film " I said grabbing some popcorn and pouring it into a bowl " ok darling , I'm gonna go to sleep now " and with that she walked up stairs .
" you choose " I said placing the popcorn on the table and leaving Nancy to pick the film , I was impatiently waiting for the knock at the door , pondering if billy understood what I worded
" Lila let's watch this " Nancy picked up one of the most girly film my mum had ever bought " Nancy are you gonna watch this because your sad or because you like it " I joked around , she looked at me like I had just offended her really badly " sorry " I sat down and gestured for her to put it on .
" I like the fact you still have that crop top on " she said quietly while the titles were showing " I kind of like it " I said pulling it back into place .

It was halfway though the film and I still heard no knock I was kind of interested in the film , about a girl and a boy they break up get back together , the usual .
Nancy had fallen asleep resting on my shoulder and I was getting tired to
I was just drifting off when I heard a knock , I looked at the time it was midnight .
I walked over to the door taking each step slow and steady until I reached the door .
" you took your time " I said walking outside the door closing it quietly behind me " what do you mean ? " he said holding my hand squeezing it slightly " don't worry " I sighed looking back up at his perfectly scalped face and deep blue eyes " I like the shirt by the way " he said looking down at my stomach smirking " thanks , Nancy picked it out " I said looking back at the door " Nancy's in there ? " he asked sounding a little disappointed " yeah , Steve just broke up with her , she's a little upset " I said just knowing how bad she must feel because I'd feel horrible if I lost billy and I had only been with him for a few days " what a shame " billy said with sarcasm in his voice " so , why are you here ? " I asked still with my hand in his " missed you " he simply said grabbing my waist , his cold hands made me shiver under his touch .
I felt his lips draw close to mine making them collide mixing the taste of his nicotine and my popcorn mix his tongue fighting for dominance, that it won , then pushing me against the door making me moan into the kiss " fucking hell billy did you really miss me that much " I breathed slowly after we broke away " yeah " he licked his lips and kissed me once more " I should get going , I'm meant to be looking after max " he said walking back to his car winking " I'll call you ! " he said driving away , I sighed and walked back inside to see Nancy standing in the kitchen with a glass of water " nice meet up Lila ? " she said walking back to the sofa , " yeah " I said laying on the sofa opposite her .
I couldn't help but feel bad she had just gone though that shit with Steve .
I fell asleep with the guilty feeling in my stomach .
