Something was itching at his nose, and he felt so sore, but from what? When he sat up he was met with an unfamiliar sight.
Stuart Pot was in a room that wasn't his, that much he knew. The mattress groaned with his every move and clouds of dust rose up with it.
The room itself was covered in a thin blanket of grey. Would it kill them to vacuum? He stood from the mattress that lay in the corner of the room and walked down the stairs, his legs nearly giving out on him.
Everything was so desperately noisy in the silence of the house, every step he took, echoed off the walls. When he reached the bottom of the stairs, he could see two figure sitting on a sofa playing what seemed to be a game of Mario Kart.
The downstairs part of the house wasn't nearly as dusty as the room he had previously inhabited, but it certainly wasn't clean either.
The smaller of the two heads whipped around flinging a good chunk of bangs away from their face.
"Look Russel! He woke up!" the other head he presumed was Russel paused the game and turned to face him. He was met with ghostly white eyes and a crooked grin.
He wasn't going to lie, the man seemed intimidating.
"Guess yuh right darling, newbie's up" he spoke in a deep soothing voice. "Oh uh, 'm sorreh did I pass out someplace?" Stuart questioned.
He was known for overdosing in the past and passing out, it mostly happened at home, but on occasion he would pass out in public. The small girl giggled "Well I guess you could say that." she was now resting her head on her hands against the back of the sofa.
"What'd you mean?" Stuart asked knitting his eyebrows together.
"Noodle he don't know what happen, give the boy a break. Listen uh-"
"Stuart."
"-Stuart, you're dead, this is, well purgatory if ya believe in tha' kinda stuff." The two weren't expecting Stuart to laugh, but laugh he did. He had gone by his life thinking that he was a little mad, but these two? They were beyond the point of insanity.
"No no, thas defin'ly not right. I fink you two are humorous, but I'll be goin now." he waved at them and went to the open front door of the cozy wooden home. He walked down the little steps and looked at the street ahead of him.
He had never been here and he didn't know where to go now. He walked up to the little white fence at the end of the drive way and felt a small bolt of electricity go through his arm when he touched it.
That's odd.
He tried again but couldn't... grab the handle. His hand kept slipping and shocking, slipping and shocking.
What on earth was this? How high could I possibly be to be seeing this?
He decided against trying to open it and instead was going to jump over it. It was a stupid idea to begin with, but anything was better than being in a house with two people he now deemed mentally insane.
He took several steps back and took a large inhale of breath. He ran the short distance before leaping, or so he thought he did.
He didn't know anymore because he now lay on th floor, still not over the fence, with pain shooting through his entire body.
He could have swore that bounced off against a wall, that and he probably also had a minor concussion. Stuart audibly groaned and picked himself up, going to the damned gate and repeatedly touching it, getting slowly accustomed to the pain.
