Once upon a time…. That’s how most fairy tales being right? Well I’m sure this fairy tale will be one to eclipse the others. Bloodshed, death, betrayal, lies, and deception are what work this realm. But there’s two things that makes all stories the same and that’s love and happy endings. People believe that love conquers all, I mean if the love is pure and honest it should. Along with that’s the only kind worth fighting for. Happy endings are what make the story worth listening to, but before we start taking about endings let’s start with the beginning.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Looking out across the open field my hearts pounding in my ears with the freedom I feel. Spinning I take in the trees and all the shades of green, gold, and purple of the flowers. Noticing movement I look and see I’m wearing the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen. It’s a strapless white dress that has a low back and flares around my feet. When I move the fabric ripples around like a waterfall, catching the light it sparkles like it’s embellished with diamonds. It’s dazzling and I’m absolutely sure I’m radiant.

Turning to look at the lake that faces east, I admire the view leaving all of my cares and worries behind. Sighing, I sense I’m not alone. Turing I see my intruder is a he and that he is absolutely breathtaking. Milky white skin, hair the color of milk chocolate, and eyes that take my breath away. A mysterious grey with a hint of a piercing blue. Those eyes I swear I’d never forget.

“Breetta.” I've never liked the name but the way he says it has shivers running up and down my spine.

We meet half way, right in the middle of the clearing. He reaches out and takes a strand of my red hair in his hands. His blue-grey eyes meeting my violet and gold ones. It’s then that I notice that he’s not the only intruder. Looking around I see werewolves, vampires, fairies, shifters, changelings, daveas, hellhounds, and many more all surround the clearing. The air fills with tension as I meet the eyes of everyone standing on the edges. And as if an order was even they attack.

Not us, but each other. Blood is everywhere and I can’t tear my eyes away from deaths presence. Looking at the man who I was just embracing I realize I know nothing about him and yet he seems to know me.

He was wearing battle armor.

Thick heavy looking metal covers his body along with several weapons. His shield is about the size of his torso and has a crest on it that should only exist in legends. Looking down at myself I realize I’m not on the dress I was in earlier. I was also I’m my own armor which looks hauntingly similar to his but the crest is different. Its red and blue with intricate swirls, and symbol I can not decipher in the middle .

Looking up I see that he’s joined the fight, spilling more blood. I’m about to rush toward him when I’m struck from behind and pinned to the ground. My hand shoots out of its own will and rips out the heart of my attacker which turns out to be a fairy, blood spilling all over me in the process. Getting up I look at my attackers heart and let if fall from my hands in shock. I’m about to be attacked again when I’m picked up and thrown down by a different source. I shift and tilt my head up and see the last thing I expected to see.

The man I embraced.

He held me by my throat and I could feel the power radiating off of him. His smile is sickening and he leans closer to my face brushing his cheek with mine as his lips near my ear. “Your death awaits” He whispers before raising up to strike me,and all i do is watch as his fist makes its descent towards my face.

Waking up my eyes flash open upon hearing a loud thwack close to my ear. The same ear that he whispered in. Shivering I look franticly around the room hearing people snicker. I look up to see Ms. Gilbert staring disapprovingly at me. I can’t believe I fell asleep in class. “Office Ms. Stone.”

I’m still staring at her dumbly as if she’s the one who lost her mind. “I said go to the office.” She repeats making me irritated. I mean it’s a first time offence. I’ve never fallen asleep or even gotten in trouble.

Deciding I didn’t care I growled and picked up my stuff and left not making eye contact with anyone. I hate that woman. “Hey are you ok? You never sleep in class.” My best friend Stacy communicates through the mindlink.

“Yeah I’m fine” I send back and proceed to cut off the link. I don’t need people in my head right now. Looking around the empty hallways I make my way to the office.
