Open. My eyelids fluttered open to welcome a unnatural light.  Radiant sunshine seemed to engulf me. The warm feeling started tingling. Starting at my fingertips the feeling roamed onto my forearms and then transmitted to the rest of my body. Where am I? I ran my hands through the delicate green grass. Birds sang a soulful song. I lay my head back letting the scenery take me in. The sky portrayed an joyous blue. Bright and inviting. I let my eyelids close.

Nimearia couldn’t contain herself that night. Her hairs stood on end, sharp canines seething through her mouth. She’s a loving dog of the sorts and I’ve never seen her this way. She’s been letting out low moans and gnarls all night, something must be in the air. I need to ignore it; “Tonight” I thought. “We’re going to do it tonight”. 6 months of waiting for this. This moment. We'll finally inclose this relationship. We’re in love. This is what is supposed to happen. Shayde said so. He’s always right. “Kira?” Shayde’s soft irish accent slips into his english so slightly. He peered from around the corner, poking his head through my bedroom door. His grey eyes remind me of grey clouds before a disastrous storm.  Tan muscles show prominently through his tight navy shirt. His ghost white  hair set off his grey eyes. They took me in. Props & Mayhem by Pierce The Veil  always remind me of him. The song plays melancholy in my mind.

Self medicate while they sleep, We let the night chase evil things away. And we're like animals homesick from shows. We gotta kill everything before the night gets wasted

He lays me down, strong muscles wrapped around me. Rigid body lay atop of me. Soft lips mere inches from mine. An alluring smile became sketched into his face. Heavy alcohol wafted through his mouth. He nuzzled my ear softly, whispering “It seems so strange to say I love you..”

Maybe it seems so strange. But we don't even stress at all. 'Cause we've got poisons in our lungs...Come at me with everything you've got.

Thats all I heard; “I love you”. He lay a rough finger against my forehead and gently caress the silhouette of my skin. Murmuring soft nothings longing in my ear. His breath warm and  soft. He smelt like a forest, wet and green. “It’ll only hurt for a second..” he breathed. His zipper accents, his left pant leg was the last thing I saw in the darkness. Looking out into the endless sky, it seems the stars shine brightest tonight.

Burst into flames, Scream in the dark. I'm gonna light up this place

And die in beautiful stars. Tonight.

My screams seemed to rapture the house. Our bodies fuse together damp from sweat and hot from passion. Our bodies move in sync while hands roam to unconventional places. “I’m sorry..” Shayde murmured ever so slightly..

Burst into flames. What do you do when you're out of time?. Scream in the dark. Where do you go when they're right outside?. I'm gonna light up this place. And how do you scream when there's no one left around? No one left around?

Cool metal moves along the length of my spine. Shayde’s jaw clenched. Our eyes stay locked, those storming eyes were bloodshot and hesitant. Shock washed over me. Pressing my limp body against his he hugged me in a long embrace. He was shaking uncontrollably, hot tears rolled down my back. Why can’t I move. My head is sporadic, my brain thumps in symphony. One last tear ran down my neck; I could feel the metal slide right in between my shoulder blades. Almost faltering, the dagger impelled me. Slicing right through the muscle. Warm liquid swalters down my back side. Shayde’s eyes grew immense.

And  I will be the only light, the only light.

The warm feeling is long gone. My body feels lifeless in the beautiful setting. Almost out of place for this beautiful scene. A low moan whistled in the wind. I need to move, the sun won’t last forever and I need to see past those faltering hilltops.  The sun seemed to disappear over the eternal hilltops. Give me a reason not to kill you right now,  I whipped my head around. Nothing. What was this voice. “Who are you?” I asked. After a moment of silence, no reply. Nevermind it. I need to get home. Home to Nimearia. Home to Shayde.
