Katherine's POV

I woke up from a nap and grabbed my phone off my bed stand.

I looked at all my notifications but one caught my eye.

Unknown -  Hey Katherine it's Finn. I was wondering if you would like to get dinner sometime?

I started texting the number back but before I hit send jack came rushing in.

"Hey Kathy do you wanna get food later tonight?" He asks me sitting on my bed next to me. Today was Friday and it was our tradition to get IN-and-OUT.

"Yes but Finn asked me on a date. Well I think it's a date but i don't know I'm kind of starting to like this kid. I mean he's really funny in everything he's in and I don't know jacky I just don't know what to say." I say quickly but nervously.

He looks at me and looks away and walks out without saying a word. I get up and put on my slippers and run after him.

My Mom had just gone on vacation with his mom and that's why he was staying here with me.

"Jack!!" I say but he ignores me and keeps walking. I grab his arm and yank it back to me.

Jack tends to get mad very easily and I knew this.

"What." he hisses, I hate seeing him mad but I don't know why he would be. It's not like we're dating.

"Baby what's wrong."

He looks at me and his face quickly softens. He pulls me on the couch and holds both of my hands.

"It's just that I love you Katherine I really do but you do this stuff sometimes and I don't know I get overprotective." He says giving me a shrug and a smile.

"I love you too." I say giving him a kiss on the cheek. His face turns a little red and I wink at him.

"Was that a wink Katherine Greenwood?" He says as I run around the house as he chases me.

He finally catches me as I'm pinned up against a wall. I could feel his hot breath on my face.

"I want to kiss you." I thought to myself. I look at his lips and back up at his eyes.

Jack's POV

"I want to kiss you." I thought to myself.  I saw her look at my lips and back up at my face.

I went for it. I kissed my best friend of 14 years. Her lips tasted like candy and her hands found their way up to my hair.

Katherine's POV

He kissed me. It felt wrong but so good. Like that kind of toxic relationship. I wanted more. So much more of him. I ran my hands through his hair and he stopped.

"I want you to be mine." He said. I quickly excused myself from the situation and ran outside and go into my drivers car.

I told him to go to the cafe place that I love. He drove me there and my phone was blowing up with text notifications.

I picked it up and read them,
