When I woke up again, Lynn and James were quietly talking. I made a filp in the darkness and went over to them. "Hey Raven, got a nice sleep?" Lynn asked. James still seemed mad that I tried to revive him. "Well, yeah." I said. "What are you guys talking about?" Lynn and James shared a look that I didn't know what it ment. "Tactics for the next match." Lynn said. "And because you are a noob we thought that..." James couldn't finish his sentence because Lynn closed her hands around his neck so he couldn't breathe. "So, what James tried to say, was that we could study the other players and try to develop a tactic for all the matches." Lynn said, still making living hard for James. "James tried to say that it's camping, staying in one place for a while, but I thought it was a perfect way to study other players." she explained, while loosening the grip around James' neck. James saw his oppertunity and kicked Lynn away from him. But it seemed that Lynn predicted this move and she grabbed his foot and turned it into an unnatural shape, and then she let go. James was smart enough to keep his anger inside of him. And I made a personal note not to make Lynn angry.
"So this is all that is going to happen. Sitting here and looking at what people are doing." I said. "Pretty much." Lynn said. "James found a sniper in one of the houses and will kill anyone that gets close." James had something of a victorious look on his face. Maybe, just maybe he likes her, and does anything awesome to make her like him, I thought. Like getting a sniper and having guard duty.
Something like one hour later.
"This is getting boring." James said. he remided me of a little kid. So far the good impression on Lynn. "Let's move out." James was too eager, too focused on winning that getting information. So I stopped him. "James, this mission is not to win, it's to gather intel on players." I said. "I noticed the same people are in the match every time. I saw the people who killed me the first time playing, and the people from your former squad." Lynn joined me. "And, this is a good time to get to know eachother." she said. I saw the victorious look on James face again. Oh goodness, I thought, here it comes. "So, you want to get to know me?" James asked. Very smooth, I thought sarcastically, so smooth that she didn't even notice it. "Well, I'd rather get to know Raven than you." Lynn said, pronouncing you like James is an annoying bug. "Well, what do you want to know?" I asked, before James could say something rude. "I want to know, if you like this whole Battleground thing." Lynn asked me. I was back to being suspicous, why did she want to know that? To push my buttons before she killed me? "Well, it's kind of nerve wracking. You never know when you might get killed." Lynn nodded like she expected that answer. "Well the blue is coming, let's get in the car before it's here." she said.
We all got in the car and drove to the playarea. "And what is your biggest dream in this game?" Lynn asked. James groaned, he didn't really like that I had all the attention. "Well I think next to winning..." I began, but James interrupted me. "So, you are saying that winning isn't your biggest dream?" he asked, raising both eyebrows while looking at me in the mirror. "That is every noob's dream." He almost crashed into a tree. "Just let me finish." I said. "Like I was saying, winning isn't my biggest dream, it's meeting Player Unknown, or whoever that is." James tried to hold his laughter, but failed. "So, you say you want to meet the myth that is Player Unknown?" James said in between his laughter. "That is impossible!" After he said that he laught even louder. Lynn tried to kill him with her stare. It atleast kept him quiet. "I think it's cute." Lynn said. As if someone popped a balloon behind his back James suddenly looked at me. His eyes told everything. Do not try and steal my girl, James' eyes said. I couldn't help it but make him more mad. That is not up to me, my eyes replied.
