Finally Tiana graduated primary school, with high honours of course, and then had her holidays free. Though she wished she could work on the serum for John, she knew it would raise too many questions. As much as she hated it, she would have to wait. Instead, she started planning out what she would need to do. The first thing was to actually get in shape. She had forgotten how tiring it was to be so far underweight, and how easy it was to get sick. The other item on her agenda was travelling through school, learning new things she could, while not giving any clues about what had happened to her. Not that anyone would come up with the correct theory in their wildest dreams, but she couldn't be too cautious.
A month passed, and the day came. This was it. Tiana's first day of high school, the second time. In a few months she would be able to go along to cadets, but one hurdle at a time. Getting out of the car, she looked around at the familiarly unfamiilar setting. She had forgotten how her friends had spoken of the renovations that had been completed before her transfer to the school, she had forgotten so many of her friends, or had simply lost touch with them. As she walked into orientation, she tried to find John. Finally her mismatched eyes caught sight of him, side-on to her, and chatting and laughing with some of their old group of friends. Of course, he had started here in the previous timeline, so he was easily able to play it off. She walked to him slowly, biting her lip, a nervous habit she was finding she had again, and called his name. "John?" She could see him frown before he turned, chocolate eyes looking her over, and almost dismissing her until they caught her mismatched hues, creating that spark of recognition. He closed the last few steps between them, and put his arm over her shoulder.
"Tiana I assume? Come here, it's nice to finally meet you..." He guided her to the group, as she frantically tried to think of a story to explain how they already knew each other, until he spoke for her. "Guys, this is Tiana. I met her on the holidays." The looks they were getting were varied, from curiosity to friendliness, and more. It was clear some were confused about her inclusion, and the show they made, with his arm around her, and her snuggled into his side. It was odd behaviour for a pair of preteens, but neither of them would have it any other way. This was the one thing they wouldn't hide, even if they hadn't even been able to speak to each other, six months apart was too long. The day was long, slow, and boring, as would be any going through high school again, but it ended with an exchange of numbers, and contact made. John decided they would set up online chat accounts, so they could speak about what they needed to. That night, Tiana returned home, and got on the computer immediately, installing the software she needed and logging in.

SI: Tiana? What happened to us?
MD: I don't know John.. I don't think we can get back though. I've been sitting here trying to work out how but nothing works...
SI: Ti... we'll be alright, it will be alright, we will stay together, and be here for each other. We'll find Sai when we can. We just need to help each other through this. Anyway, think of how much more of an impact your work will have this much earlier. We will get through this.
MD: John... I'm really worried, what if we slip up?
SI: We won't, You won't, I know you can do this.
SI: Have you done anything with the serum, or are you going to wait? I understand either way...
MD: I can't do it now, I don't have the materials, and if I start now, it will spoil before I can get them. I'm sorry John. I will when I can.
SI: I understand Ti. Dad's coming, I have to go. Remember, I believe in you.
