Fact: Leonard Snart is in this picture
What I know from the comics: When Barry created Flashpoint , that version of Central City had a hero, and it wasn't flash. His name was Citizen Cold. Wally West found out that Citizen Cold's real identity was a man called Leonard Snart. He immediately realised that Leonard Snart was known for being a low life criminal, and was stunned to realise that a criminal was the person who everyone regarded as their hero. His setup was similar to that of the Flash's, he had a team who helped behind the scenes, and the people knew him as their hero. (Unrelated, but I think it might come up in the crossover - Citizen Cold's sister Lisa Snart is dead - she was murdered by the rogues.)
What I found on the internet: The character in the Crisis on Earth X is Leonard Snart, aka Citizen Cold.
What I think: Citizen Cold will be a character in the crossover, and he will come from Earth X, wanting to help defend our Earth from the evil doppelgangers, since they originated from his Earth he will feel a responsibility for them.
Fact: Leonard Snart was killed off at the end of season 1 because Wentworth Miller (his actor) wanted to take some time to focus on his screenwriting. However, the writers really liked his character, so asked if, rather than killing him off completely, he would come back for a few episodes in season 2.
Fact: He had a contract for season 2 where he could appear in any episode across the arrowverse, not just in Legends.
What I think: I don't know whether they renewed this contract for season 3 or if they returned to the original contract and are going to make him a regular again as Citizen Cold. It really could go either way.
What I read online: We were told Sara would have a love interest for this season.
What I think: Leonard could stay after the crossover and join the legends as Citizen Cold, leaving his team to look after Central City. He could then become Sara's new love interest.
Also, looking at the picture, I find it interesting that every single character is stood perfectly, standing straight, looking at the camera. Except Leonard. He's the only one who has his head tilted to the side, not straight.
I noticed that this is the way he normally stands, so this could be there to show any of these things.
1. Simply shows the way he stands, and every single other person just normally stands straight.
2. Could be showing that he's not properly a part of the team.
3. Could be showing his rebellious side. Everyone else stands perfectly, but he refuses to do even that.
4. It might be that he's doing that because he's inquisitive, not of this Earth and so watching warily to see what's going on.
Either way, it's adorable, and I love it.
Fact: In a 2 minute long trailer Stephen Amell just put on Facebook, there's a whole bit with Citizen Cold in at the end, and he says "They haven't left your Earth yet, Ollie." (I can't believe he said Ollie...)
What I think: He said YOUR Earth. This supports my theory that he is, in fact, from another Earth. Whether or not from Earth X, I don't know. But I look forward to finding out.
Stay Legendary!
