The Thunder God of Remnant

A Shocking Opening

(A/N: Hello readers! Welcome to the first chapter of the The Thunder God of Remnant. Also keep in mind this story will contain some gory, if you are squeamish of not used being use to reading bloody violence then don't read this.)

*Village located somewhere near the Kingdom of Vale.* (7 years before canon).

Y/N was just a normal boy living in a peaceful village with his family. He was a boy whose dream is to attend Beacon Academy, so he can graduate to become a Huntsman to help make the world of Remnant a safe place to live with Humans and Faunus.

But that certainly changed, when he convinced his dad to train him every day in order to take the entrance exam at Beacon instead of attending the pre-combat school, Signal Academy, in order to enroll. Everything changed when he finally discovered his Semblance.

(Your Dad's F/N): C'mon son, I know you can do this!

(Y/N): I'm trying Dad! But its just so hard to unlock my semblance.

(Your Dad's F/N): C'mon son if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything! Now keep on trying!

Y?N then tried again as he rushed forward at his father trying not to hurt him, then all of sudden he felt something surging in his body. He then looked down and saw that his body was emitting an electric blue aura, he felt his hands trying to release the power as he made a gesture and shot an electric blue thunderbolt at his father.

His Dad then had a smirk on his face that he sent him, his son had finally unlocked his semblance. His Dad then dodged the lighting bolt and ran up to him as he hugged him while Y/N hugged back.

(Your Dad's F/N): You did it son! You finally unlocked your semblance, I'm very proud of you!

(Y/N): Thank you Dad! Does this mean I'm ready enough to attend Beacon Academy?

(Your Dad's F/N): No son, you still have along way to go. How about this... Instead of attending Signal Academy when we finish your training how would you like to enter the Mortal Kombat Tournament?

(Y/N): Mortal Kombat?! You mean...?

(Your Dad's F/N): Yes, a one on one fighting tournament against other kombatants, where the victor finishes their opponent off with a Fatality after the fight, in layman's terms killing them.

(Y/N): That's horrible... But I like it, fights with so much blood, epic one-liners, and the fame and glory! I'll do it dad... but will Mom get mad though?

(Your Dad's F/N): Don't worry Son. Although she doesn't approve of us killing but as long as you don't do a fatality in the four kingdoms of Remnant. Only when you kill criminals, if it feels necessary to you.

(Y/N): Okay Dad I understand. But, what should I call my semblance? Since my semblance allows me to manipulate lighting and thunder... Also I have the sudden urge to fly and break the laws of physics?!

(Your Dad's F/N): (Chuckling) How about Thunder God? Will that work my son?

(Y/N): YES! That'll work!

*Present Time

7 years had passed as you completed your training and your title as the champion of the Mortal Kombat Tournament located in the ruin parts of Sanus. You then discovered that your semblance became somewhat active all the time, you then also discovered that some semblances are always active and can sometimes not be controlled willingly by the user. But for you as you managed to control it with your sheer force of willpower, meditation, and incredible luck. As you matured into 17 years of age, you noticed your semblance had also evolved over the years. You then decided to use half of your prize money to build a secretive sky temple that will also serve as your home with raining thunder storm weather somewhere near the mountains in Vale close to the ruined Mountain Glenn. While, you use the other half of your prize money to help satisfy your everyday needs. You also decide to give yourself a nickname that relates to your semblance, you nicknamed yourself "Raiden" which apparently translates to Thunder God in another dialect.

*At the Mortal Kombat Tournament

Y/N was currently in the final round of the Mortal Kombat tournament, he was going for another win as he stunned his opponent with his X-Ray Move. His opponent in front of him was now paralyzed after being shocked by his electrical powers.

Announcer: FINISH HIM!

As soon as the MK Announcer said this Y/N then walked over to his paralyzed opponent, he then grabbed his opponents face, using his semblance to release powerful currents of electricity into their head, causing their eyeballs to pop out, still hanging by their optic nerves. The electric charge was so powerful his opponents head pops off their neck and as it falls down, Y/N destroys it with one final blast of lightning.

Announcer: Raiden Wins!!! Flawless Victory!!! Fatality!!!

You then raised your right hand in the air for victory as lighting strikes down upon it. The crowd cheers for your victory as you received a golden trophy with a familiar dragon logo along with some prize money; 1,000,000,000 Lien. After that you teleported back to your personal Sky Temple in the mountains of Vale. You're hoping someday you can use your powers to help people in the World Of Remannt to make it a better place to live. Plus, dreaming on attending Beacon Academy under the tutelage of Professor Ozpin.
