Tony's Loss

Chapter 3

Whatever the other Avengers were expecting when Tony and his guest went into the kitchen, it was not the loud cry of angst that came after a few minutes into the meeting. But when they heard that heartbreaking sound they all ran to the kitchen. What they found there was something that they never thought they would see, they found Tony Stark on the kitchen floor crying into his hands repeating the same thing over and over again "Not Harry, Not my son" Although they were all confused and had no idea what was going on they all tried to help, Clint, Thor, and Steve went to the two strangers to find out what happened while Bruce and Natasha went to Tony to try to get him up and comfort him.
"What is going on" demands Captain America, looking at the two redheads. "His son, Harry, was killed and we had to inform him of that, Harry was a strong man, but he was also kind, and caring. No one could have known what would happen to him, he would never forgive us if we didn't tell his father right away. Could you give Mr. Stark this please, and tell him that Harry is a hero, that we would all be dead if it wasn't for him." Bill tells them, while giving Steve a box with a letter from Harry, and his Order of Merlin medal. "we were unaware that Tony had a son but we will do our best to help him in any way we can, we will give him this and tell him what you said but we can't possibly comprehend how he is feeling, he lost his son, there is nothing worse than the feeling of losing someone you love, but for it to be a son or daughter must be 10 times worse." Clint says, thinking of his own children and what would happen to him if any of them died. "Thank you" and with that both Charlie and Bill left.        
For the rest of the night the Avengers took care of Tony and never left him alone. That night Billionaire and Genius Tony Stark cried for the son that he would never see grow old.
