Afraid 💔

The decision

The following day I woke up and noticed that I was alone. Looking around I found a note that set on the edge of the bed.
The note read:
Hey Bestfriend, I know you're probably wondering where I am at the moment. I had to run a few errands for my parents. Don't worry I explained everything...they will keep you safe and sound. I set you some clothes on the bed, towels and a toothbrush, whenever you get hungry breakfast is downstairs. I'll be back shortly.

I smiled at the note and headed towards the shower and hopped in.

(Camille) which is my bestfriend has always been here for me no matter what. That's what I love about her. We've been bestfriends since diaper days and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. She was so nice and pretty and we would always be together... Wherever you see me , you'd see her. 💜👭

I was in the grocery store getting food to cook on the grill tonight. I grabbed some steaks, ribs, sausages, pork chop and some corn.
I got some snacks for Asia and I do later on tonight we could have some girl time to get her mind off of the horrible incident she witnessed last night. I felt sorry for my bestfriend because her mom died because of her crazy abusive dad. I never thought of him as a good father to her because he'd always be mean to her whenever I would come over their house, but I never thought anything like this would happen.
As I was walking down the aisle, I spotted her dad wearing a black hoodie which covered his entire face walking into the store. I didn't want him to notice me because he'd probably be concerned about her whereabouts. I threw my hood over my head and walked towards the cash register. Luckily he walked right pass me and didn't notice. I paid for the groceries and grabbed the bags and quickly headed towards my car.

I got home and put up the groceries and headed to my room.
I walked in and Asia rushed over to me and gave me a big hug. I hugged her back and we both pulled away. "I'm so glad you're okay I was worried about you, I thought something happened to you". She said. "No bestfriend I'm good , but I saw your dad at the store and he was covering his face, I had to make sure he didn't see me so I got here as soon as I could". I said.
"Omg, I hope they catch him because if not he'd try to kill me" Asia said as she burst into tears. "I'm not going to let anything happen to you best friend. As long as you're here we're going to keep you safe". I said. "I want to leave this town because I don't want anything to happen to you or your parents if he found out I was staying here". She said.
"Best friend where are you going to go, You will need money and a place to stay". I said
"I don't know , I have some money saved up because I was soon going to move out, but I wasn't sure when. You can come along if you like and we could stay together and keep each other safe". She said
"I have to talk to my parents and first and I will let you know". I said

As I sat there in Camille's room I thought about A plan, I really wanted to leave Chicago because if my dad wasn't locked up he would be out looking for me so he could ruin my life. Camille went downstairs and got some snacks until the food was ready. She said that we were having grilled food tonight. She said that she would talk everything out with her parents about leaving town with me so I could leave before my dad found me. I really hope that they find him and look him up so that my life would not be in danger.
Camille came back into her room and sit on the bed next to me. Her parents said that it was OK for her to come with me because she would keep me company and keep me safe and I'll be far away from here. I thought about moving to Atlanta Georgia and settling there because he wouldn't find me. At least it would be the last place he would look because he didn't like it very much. When ever we used to visit he would always stay home because he said that it was too much traffic.
It was around 4:30 that afternoon and Camille's parents came and told us that the food was ready. We went downstairs to fix our plate and then sat at the table with Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Johnson. They were very nice people and they would always be happy to invite me over When Camille would asked can I come over. "So where are you girls thinking about doing" Mr. Johnson said. I was thinking about going to Atlanta because my dad would never go over there when we visited because he said it was too busy". I said. "OK well you girls will be far away from here". Ms. Johnson said. "I was thinking about leaving tomorrow morning because Camille saw him in the grocery store early this morning, and if he finds me then my life would be in more danger". I said.
After we ate we went upstairs and I help Camille pack. We were going to go shopping when we reached Atlanta. We showered and then got ready for bed because we had a long drive ahead of us.
