The Dog that Shocked his Pack

Chapter 1: The Decision

Once the lived a dog called Mickey. Mickey lived in a pack called Carnage. Carnage was the most feared pack in the whole forest, they had a reputation of fierce dogs from pups to elders. Everyone was power hungry and didn't care about attacking other packs and leaving no survivors.

But Mickey was different. Mickey's mother was Pip. She was the most important female dog in the pack as her mate was Fang. Fang was the chief of the pack and as father to Mickey he as in charge of making sure Mickey would be as fierce as himself when leading the pack. Mickey didn't want to kill or lead instead he wanted to have a peaceful life in a pack such as Destiny.

Destiny was a peaceful pack who didn't kill but were undefeated by Carnage.

Mickey knew you could change pack, his mother had moved from Miracle which is a small peaceful pack who is constantly attacked by Carnage but luckily they have a secret hideaway that even Pip doesn't know of. Pip had moved because she was different from everyone else in Miracle, she was fierce and didn't have any mercy. Her father at first didn't allow Pip to move so she killed him and earned her place in Carnage.

She suited the lifestyle in Carnage alot better than in Miracle. In Miracle she would have to spend her days looking after Mickey and his littermates but here in Carnage there is one female dog that looks after all of the pups. This dog named Ivy was kinder than the other dogs in Carnage, she didn't have the passion to kill or destroy so she didn't mind staying with the pups all day everyday.

Mickey was part of a litter of four. There was Mickey, Claw, Wolf and Angel. Surprisingly Angel (the only female dog) was the fiercest and the most power hungry but all of them were tougher than Mickey. Now you must be wondering why doesn't Wolf or Claw or Angel lead the pack instead of Mickey well true any of them would be better at leading Carnage but it was that Mickey had been born first and that he was one minute older than his siblings.

As soon as Mickey turned one month he realised what Carnage was actually like. He realised that his mother and father didn't really like any of them as they avoided them constantly. Fang had promised to train Mickey himeself but after seeing Fangs training methods Mickey decided he didn't want his father to train him. But it was when he saw his mother and father walking back from a battle, coats brushing, both carrying limp bodies in their mouths. They looked proud and happy but the look in their faces was not something Mickey liked. Mickey looked behind his parents and saw that everyone had a body in their mouths. That was the moment that Mickey decided he was leaving Carnage for a better life.

Mickey knew it was better that he didn't tell his father as he knew that it would most likely end with Mickey dead. Instead he asked Ivy if he could leave camp to practice battle moves.

"Of course Mickey I'm pleased to see you taking an intrest in battle, your father will be most proud, just don't go far okay and be back soon. " Said Ivy happily unaware that it will probably be the last time she would see him. If there was going to be one hard thing about leaving it would be saying goodbye to Ivy, he wouldn't miss his siblings, oh no he hated them and they hated him, no it was Ivy who had become his mother in some ways.

"Thanks Ivy, bye"

And then he left. He knew the way his father had showed him when Mickey turned one month old.

Mickey started to run. He knew that he was heading to Destiny. He knew where to go but the hard part would be convincing Heather (the leader of Destiny) that he wasn't a spy. He arrived at Destiny's camp than evening and luckily as Mickey was only one month he looked like a innocent lost pup. Ripple was the first to spot him. Ripple was currently living in the nursery as she was mother to two pups the same age as Mickey. She would eventually become a better mother to Mickey than Pip could ever be. The two other pups, Echo and Jack felt that Mickey was there brother but they knew that he wasn't.
