A week had passed since Natsu won his battle against the dark magic. Could anything truly slow him down? Lucy sighed as she glanced out her apartment window at the falling leaves. He was incredible! Lucy thought with a small smile.

He was already back on his feet and tackling a new job. He had asked her to go along with him followed by a short cough. She had declined. Why didn't I go? Lucy said out loud. Everything seemed back to normal. But she couldn't shake the uneasiness that this was not finished.

The guild still had not figured out who had sent the hired assassin after her. This isn't over yet. Lucy said quietly to herself. I just know it. There were just too many unknowns.

That evening Natsu crept into the stairwell of Lucy's apartment when he heard loud voices. He listened as Lucy tried to reason with her angry land lady. Your rent is late young woman! I expect seventy thousand jewel on my desk by tomorrow or you can pack up your things and leave! She snarled at Lucy.

Yes mam I will have it! Lucy replied in a strained voice as the Land Lady turned on her heel and stormed down the stairs past a hidden Natsu. The audacity of that woman! Lucy moaned. Oh God! What am I going to do? Lucy cried.

I need a job right away! Lucy grumbled. I don't think I'm ready yet though, she whispered into the wind as she slowly closed her apartment door.

Natsu reached down into his pockets and pulled out the one hundred thousand jewel he had made from his last job. Ha! We still have money to have a huge dinner after I help Lucy out, he whispered to Happy.

Why are we helping Lucy out again Natsu? Happy asked. Well because she needs our help Happy. He said with a big smile. Ok if you say so Natsu. Happy said with a smirk.

Lucy was startled when a brisk knock sounded on her door thirty minutes later. Oh it's you mam! Lucy groaned when she once again opened her door to the land lady. Why do you young people waste my time! I'm sorry I don't understand? Lucy inquired.

The land lady looked at her like she was dumb. You're good for another month! She shouted at Lucy. Next month you better not be late! You hear! Yes mam! Lucy stammered.

Lucy's mind was going in a thousand directions. A miracle had just happened right in front of her eyes. How in Earth Land had that happened?

Someone had just paid her rent! No one knew that she was late on her rent. Well Loki knew. It had to have been him. Lucy sat at her small table as she pulled out her key. I call upon the celestial spirit Leo the Lion she shouted!

Loki appeared in front of her with a surprised look on his face. Hi good looking! He said with a smile. Um Loki I know that you're my friend and that you think you owe me for saving your life, but you don't have to help me with my rent. Lucy said on a long sigh.

Lucy I don't mean to sound rude, but what the heck are you talking about? Loki asked. Wait you didn't help me with my rent today? Lucy asked him. Um no I didn't.

I kinda was on a date just now actually. If you don't need me I would like to get back to it ok? Yeah sure Loki. Sorry I bothered you. No problem Princess he said with a smile and wave as he vanished.

Well then who in the heck just helped me out? Lucy yelled. Oh God! No he didn't! Lucy groaned. Natsu! When I get my hands on that sneaky little flame brain I'm going to...Lucy stumbled to a stop as she walked into her bedroom to find Natsu propped up on her bed with his arms behind his neck with a wide smile on his face.

Na..Natsu! Lucy stammered with her month open. Hi Luucccy! Natsu said as he laughed. Hey Lucy! Happy giggled. Did you know you have a really stupid expression on your face just now? Happy inquired. Hush cat! Lucy snapped.
