08. My Past Sister

Irene POV
I woke up. It's finally Saturday... Rest time.. It's still 7.00 am.

Let's go for a morning walk with Rozee.

I went to the bathroom and changed my outfit. I washed my face and tied my hair.

I went downstairs and drank for a while. I put the leash on Rozee.

"Come on Rozee!" I said and started running. Rozee ran too. We ran to the garden.

We sat down and drank for a while. While resting, I took a picture with Rozee. Suddenly I remembered about last night.

Flashback
It was raining and the doorbell rang

"U-Unnie..*cry*" A girl said while crying.

"W-who are you?" I asked. She just cried more. Her face was covered with her hair and her dress was wet.

"I finally can talk to you.." The girl shouted.

"Who are you?" I asked again.

"...Your si-" She was about to say something.

The thunder thud loudly.

I was startled. She was gone..

What does she wants to say? Who is she?

I went back in with Rozee.

I drank a cup of coffee. I drink that because I wanna watch some of my favourite dramas.

I took the snacks and went upstairs with Rozee.

"Let's go Rozee!" I said and walked. She followed me. We went inside and I sat down with her.

I turned on the TV.

I heard someone taking a plate. I went downstairs with Rozee quietly.

Rozee ran to the kitchen and faced something. She barked loudly as if it's a stranger.

"Rozee?" I called and Rozee shut up but she was still staring at it.

I carried Rozee and brought her upstairs again.

I called mom

"O-Omma... S-someone is here.." I said.

"What's wrong?" I heard she said.

"Someone was at our front door. It was a girl and she disappeared. I went upstairs with Rozee. I heard someone in the kitchen so me and Rozee went down and Rozee barked at something. I ran upstairs with Rozee." I explained.

"Oh no.." I heard mom said.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"She's back!" Mom shouted happily.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Your sister, Irane. She died... But before she died, she ever say "Omma.. Hope my sister born soon.. I wish I could see her.. I-I..... I promise I'll be back to see her." I cried when she said that... She did made her promise. She took care of me when I was pregnant because she loves you.. But she died not because of anything but.. You.." Mom said.

"I what?" I asked.

"You were about to die.. The devil.. Wanted to take you.. So she saved you by giving her soul and she also had a few more months to live. Irane.. Loves you.." She said and I heard her sobbing.

"Irane? And I'm Irene?" I asked and she hummed a yes.

"Why did she called me unnie?" I asked.

"Ask her." She said and hang up.

I heard someone downstairs. I went down.

"Irane? Irane?" I asked and looked around.

"U-Unnie..?" I heard a soft voice.

"Come talk to me! My sister!" I called and she appeared.

"Unnie!" She ran and hugged me but she can't. She's a ghost..

"Irane..." I said and cried.

"Thank you and sorry!" I said and cried more.

"I miss you unnie.." She said.

"Why am I unnie?" I asked.

"I died.. I gave my soul.. I was sent back to earth to meet you because.. I promised mom and promises couldn't be broken so the devil had to send me back her. Only for a few years.. The way to let me free is... Someone needs to sacrifice their soul to the devil." She explained.

"Oh.." I said.

I thought about it..
Suddenly my mind hurts. I saw a picture in my mind. Me and Irane.. So.. She was with me until primary then we got into a car crash. I got amnesia. And the devil did it because he was cheating on the deal. He was trying to take me and Irane..

I remembered everything!

Rozee stood up so I looked at her. She was walking somewhere so I followed her.

She went to someone. She gave a bark.

The person looked at me.

"I-Irene?!" The person said. I was confused.

"Uh.." I said.

"You forgot about me? It's me, Somi! Your sister's friend." She said.

"Sorry.. I don't remember.. I had a accident and got amnesia.." I said and she nodded.

After talking, I went home. My phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Unnie! I'm coming over! Sleepover." I heard Seulgi's voice.

"Okay! See you later!" I said and hang up.

"Irane?" I tried finding her.

I saw a note and read it.

"Unnie! I'll be home late because I have business to do. Please take care. From : Irane."

This is weird... She isn't a ghost right? She's just a soul. I need to help her..

My doorbell rang and I opened.

"Unnie!" Seulgi called.

"Hi!" I said.

We went in.

The doorbell rang again so we went to check.

"Taehyung?" Seulgi asked.

"Oh hi!" He said. What is he doing here?

"Um.. Can I sleep here today? My dad kicked me out.." He said.
