This is my (maybe not so) intellectual property, and if you read it anywhere other than Wattpad, then the filthy thief who reposted it pinched it from me. Do not - I repeat, do not - invite that person to your birthday party.
This book contains strong themes of homosexuality, abuse, slavery, vampires (not sparkly fairy things, bloodthirsty vampires :D), reluctant sex, bordering on rape, and strong sexual references/innuendo. If any of that offends/disgusts you, or puts a downer on your life, I recommend you stop reading right.... now. Seriously. I wouldn't want to be responsible for upsetting one of you lovely peoples :D

"I've got some money left. Do you want something to eat? I'll take you to that Italian restaurant you like." I offered, with a smile.
"No, it's too expensive," my girlfriend Jessica shook her head. I frowned, but only for a second, then tried an uneasy smile again.
"Well then, let's get some fish and chips and go for a walk along the seafront," I said.
"No, Myth," she shook her head again.
"C'mon, babe," I said, trying to keep the annoyed tone out of my voice.
"You go, by all means," she shrugged. "I want to stay here."
"It's fine. I'll stay with you," I said, putting my arm around her shoulders. Normally, she'd snuggle into me then. But this time she sat up straight, stiff and frigid. I knew I should probably move my arm, but I kept it firmly where it was. Recently, Jess was getting very distant and cold with me. But I refused to let it get in the way of our relationship; we did love each other. I guessed she was just going through some hormonal girl stuff at the moment. It was probably best if I was here for her more than ever now. Like tonight. We'd gone to this daft fair thing that was on the pier for the next couple of weeks. I didn't want to, but she did, so I went with her.
All of a sudden, her pretty little face lit up. "I wanna go on the rollercoaster!" she said, like a little kid. She jumped to her feet and grabbed my hand. "Come on, Mythikins, come with me!"
"Oh, um..." she was already pulling me towards the queue. I had something of a phobia of rollercoasters, as Jess well knew. "Jess, look, I'm not really... in the mood right now. You go. I'll watch."
"Don't be so boring, Myth," she rolled her eyes. Then she smirked. "Hey... are you scared?"
"No!" I said, and even I could tell how fake I sounded. She laughed - it wasn't a cruel laugh. It was bright, sunny laugh that made me grin sheepishly at my own cowardice.
"It's alright, baby. I'll keep you safe," she put on a silly gruff male voice and slung her arm around me.
"Oh, thanks," I said, in this daft, lispy, breathy girl's voice. "I'm so lucky I've got a big brave girlfriend like you." We both burst out laughing.
"We're so retarded," she chuckled. We were at the front of the queue now. She handed over enough money for the two of us and the bloke let us through the the barrier. I sat in the seat beside her and swallowed deeply as the safety rail clicked down in front of me.
"The things I do for you," I whispered, closing my eyes tightly as the ride started.

When we got off the ride, I gave Jessica a gentle, playful shove. "Don't you ever make me do that again," I said.
"Or what?" she said.
"Or," I picked her up. "I'll chuck you in the sea."
"Myth!" she squealed. "Put me down."
"Never," I replied. She started tickling my arms and I doubled over. As a result, we both collapsed into a giggly heap. That's when I noticed that everyone else on the pier was silent and still, all staring at one thing.
I followed the crowd's collective gaze and gasped. Quickly, I scrambled to my feet and pulled Jess to hers too. There standing at the other end of the pier, was one of Them. The vampires. He was tall and lean, with eerilie pale skin and deep golden hair and huge near-black eyes. If he were human, he wouldn't've been much to look at. But his vampiric beauty radiated from every pore. When he smirked, his pearly fangs gleamed against his crimson lips. I swallowed deeply. He was smirking directly at me.
My eyes went wide when he strode towards me with seven catlike strides. He took hold of the collar of my teeshirt in his vice grip and pushed me against the railings behind me. "What's your name, then?" he whispered, his voice as smooth as silk.
"M-Myth. M-Myth R-Ryder," I stammered. He stroked my cheek and his skin was like ice.
"Well, Myth," his head went very close to my ear. "You are just... delightful." And he pressed his lips to my neck. I whimpered, making him chuckle against my skin.
The last thing I heard before blacking out was Jessica screaming my name.
