When I woke up, I was in a dark cold room with a concrete floor.
The only light came from a small window near the ceiling. I guessed it was some kind of cellar. Swallowing in fear, I reached up to feel my neck. My worst fears were confirmed - I could feel two tiny puncture marks in the skin there. Not deep enough to change me. But deep enough to be permanent. The mark of ownership. I shut my eyes and let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding.
"Good. You're up," a smooth voice said. My eyes snapped open and I glared at him.
"Who are you? What do you want from me?" I demanded.
"Oh, Myth, my sweet, we both know the answer to that last question, don't we?" he chuckled. "As for the first one... I'm Lawrence Dickinson. You may call me Laurie when we are alone, but in company - particularly that of my peers - you will call me Lawrence or Master. I'm very highly respected in my community, and I will not let anybody see my pet treat me with any less than they do - do you understand?"
"Y-Yes," I whispered.
"Now. There will be some ground rules, and if you follow them, you and I should get along well enough," he said. "First rule - and the most obvious one really - you will do as you are told at all times. I am a fair man; I will never ask you to do anything I do not believe you are capable of, so there is no excuse for not complying with orders. Second, you are to be in no way shape or form ashamed of me or yourself. It is a blessing, what has happened to you, and you should treat it as such. Thirdly, you will stay away from all people I deem to be too... involved... in your life. Starting with that ridiculous girl I saw you with last night. You will live here with me - though I will give you the rest of this weekend to say goodbye to your family. You will be educated here, so there will be no need for you to carry on with that school. I will allow you to visit your family on occassion - think of it as a small reward, when I feel your behaviour has been outstanding. Indeed, they may visit you here from time to time. And I suppose letters are a neccessity for you and them, aren't they. But I shall check the letters to make sure you're not telling them anything... inappropriate, and the visits will take place when and where I decide. The breaking of any of these rules will be punished - but I am fair. Exceptionally good behaviour will be rewarded. Now - any questions?"
"W-why me?" I whispered. He chuckled and stroked my face gently.
"I saw you and I knew I had to have you," he said. "You're so beautiful. Those eyes. They're so... innocent. It'll be almost a shame to change that..."
"B-but..." I swallowed deeply. "I'm not gay."
"Do you think that matters to me?" he chuckled. "Don't worry, my dear, you'll enjoy it. When I want you too."
"B-But..." I swallowed. "Please don't hurt me." It was barely a whisper, but he heard. He smirked.
"I won't, dear. Provided you behave yourself," he said. "Starting now. Stand up, my love." Shaking furiously, I got to my feet. He strode over to me and walked round me, examining me. Then he placed his hands on my shoulders and smiled. "What a lovely coincidence - you're exactly the right height."
"Wh-what do you mean?" I whispered. He was a fair bit taller than I was, but it wasn't anything too drastic. He grinned and pulled me close to him. My head rested comfortably on his shoulder.
"See?" he said. I nodded and he released me. He kept smiling at me. "Take your clothes off, dear."
My eyes went wide. "Wh-what?" I whispered.
"You heard me," he tutted. "I do hope you won't start disobeying my rules already..."
"B-but..." I swallowed. His hands tangled in my hair and he tugged painfully.
