As I drove beside the large [WELCOME TO LOS ANGELES] sign by the road , I picked up my phone to call Miles , my bestfriend. " Hey Hazel" he answered "Hey pudge, how are you , I'm just past the LA sign, where was the address again?" I heard another voice say " YO HAZEL ! MA GIRL, YA'LL MISSIN SOME FUN SHIT HERE" " Is that Alaska?" I asked . " yeah , she's drunk as shit and I had to go pick her up" I laughed , typical alaska , " Ok so where's the address?" "23 down angel street, 3rd floor to the left" " ok see you there , pudge , bye" i hung up and asked Siri for directions. I stopped for a coffee , then got back in the car and revved the engine , nothing . I tried again but it won't budge. " Need help?" I heard a familiar voice say . I looked up " Stefan! I mean, Mr. Salvatore , I mean Paul, Mr.Wesley" He chuckled . I felt heat rise to my cheeks " Call me Paul , What's your name?" He said " Hazel" I replied " Ok now Hazel , let me check" He opened the engine cover and checked " It's nothing , your car just needs what I like to call an electric shock , got a cable?" I shook my head no " Then I guess you need a ride , hop in ." He motioned towards a black Jaguar parked nearby " I really shouldn't, Mr. Wesley , I'll just get a cab or call my friend" "In the car Hazel, I'm not going to leave you here , It's late , and don't call me Mr. Wesley" I blushed crimson, and we walked to the car . He drove me home and we talked on the way " Fancy a date tomorrow?" He asked out of nowhere " Um yeah, sure" I was overjoyed deep down , but I managed to keep a happy face that says (id love to go out with you but I don't wanna freak you out) "I'll pick you up at 5 , wear something casual and pack a swimsuit" . I suspected the beach , I said goodbye and went upstairs to meet Pudge and Alaska . Alaska passed out from being drunk . " Whose car was that ,Hazel?" Pudge asked in that I-knew-you-were-trouble-but-you-didn't-tell-me tone " A friend" I asked "Im the only one you know here so spill the beans, from the top" I told him everything about the coffee , the car , and the date offer. He thought he's taking me to the beach too . I found it good that Alaska fell asleep , she would've made a lot of noise and we wouldn't be able to think. We agreed that I should go to sleep now , get some rest and pick out everything ( with alaska) tomorrow.
