The years is 2017. It's been about 3 years since high school graduation for the losers club. Beverly moved to Portland right after what happened in the sewers, mike moved away after his grandpa died sophomore year with an aunt(the last living relative he had), and Ben ended up going to a college in Portland to be closer to Beverly. The only losers left in Derry were Richie Tozier, Stanley Uris, Eddie Kaspbrak, and Bill denbrough. They all went to college together but never really saw each other. They each made new friends with the classes they had. Every now and then one of them would see one of the friends in a class they had. Often they said hi and made small talk but never talked long enough to actually reconnect as friends, no matter how much any of them wanted to.
