Noah's POV

I turned the front doorknob quietly–to my surprise, it was unlocked. I tiptoed inside while glancing around for Braxton, but I saw no sign of him.

I picked up the end of my dress before I crept towards the stairs. The light in the kitchen suddenly came on and I stopped, because I knew I was caught.

"You better start talking before I give you a concussion by apple," Braxton threatened as I turned around to face him. "Why in the fuck did you steal my car, Grey?"

"I'm just going to go to my room," I said softly, but he was already in front of me before I could even reach the stairs. "Braxton, please, I want to go to my room."

"You caught a glimpse of that man and you dipped, Noah," he snapped back. "Who is he?" I shook my head, but Braxton wasn't letting up. "Tell me who the fuck he is, Noah!" I flinched as he raised his voice, but that seemed to tick him off even more.

"Either you can tell me who he is," he spoke calmly as he pinned me against the wall. "Or I can beat it out of you."

"Braxton–"

"You have five seconds, Noah, before I go run you a bath. Have you ever felt what it's like to drown?"

"He's nothing to me,"

"Five,"

"No, please, don't count," I said as I began to panic between sobs.

"Four,"

"Braxton, please," I sobbed louder, but he only gripped my arm and started dragging me towards the stairs. "No! No! Braxton, please. Please!" He dropped me mid-struggle and I fell straight to the hard floor.

"You're pathetic," he said as he just looked down at me. "Go to your room, I don't want to see you or even hear a peep come from upstairs." I didn't waste time as I scurried past him and up the stairs.

I spent most of the day crying and then spent the rest of it sleeping. I finally got the energy to get up and take a shower, but I only cried in there too.

I finished getting dressed in my pajamas after I rubbed my body down in lotion.

I turned my light off and walked out of my door, I hurried down the dark hallway to the staircase. I tiptoed my way to the fridge and searched for a bottle of water.

"I don't remember giving you permission to leave your room," a voice sounded behind me, I gasped as I let the water bottle hit the floor.

"I was thirsty-"

"I don't care if you were dying," he cut me off as he slammed his glass down, spilling some of his wine.

"Two more of my men were killed," he said before he stood up from his chair and made his way over to me. "I see the fear in your eyes, Grey." He reached up to grab my chin, gently raising my face to his. "Start talking or I'll show you it can get worse."

I pulled away from his touch before I let my eyes roam. I sighed as I spoke.

"He was one of my fathers friends," I started as I played with my fingers. "My brother had already left me and I thought everything would get better, but everything got ten times worse."

Braxton pulled out a chair before taking a seat, reaching over to receive his glass.

"He always waited till they all passed out and he could sneak upstairs unnoticed," I said as my voice cracked. "It didn't matter if I screamed, no one ever heard." I closed my eyes as I took slow breathes. "I can't help, but to feel so used."

Before I could even process it, Braxton had pulled me to him by my waist.

"You went through something no girl should have to encounter," he spoke as he untied the strings to my sweats.

When I realized what he was doing, I attempted to push away his hands, but I only got a sharp look back.

"Stay still," I closed my eyes as I felt him tug my joggers down. I let out a slight gasp when I felt his fingertips run across my thighs.

"Look at me," he said softly, I kept my eyes closed as I shook my head. "Now, Grey." I let out a shaky breath before I looked down at him. "I'm going to find him and I'm going to let you watch him die."

I felt the tears welling in my eyes as my lip quivered. Braxton stood up, towering over my small figure.

"Go to bed," he whispered as he pulled my sweats back up. "We have a big day tomorrow." He kissed my forehead before he headed towards the stairs.

"Braxton," I spoke softly as I watched my fingers fiddle with my strings. "Can I please sleep with you?"

When I didn't hear an answer, I figured he was gone, but I turned around to find him looking at me.

"Drink a glass of milk before you come," he finally answered before he started up the stairs. "It'll help you sleep better."

I headed to the fridge as I heard his footsteps recede up the stairs. I closed my eyes as I let out a sigh.

I left my glass in the sink before I basically ran up the stairs, I slowed my pace down as I got closer to Braxton's room.

I knocked on the door before I walked in and seen the most sexiest thing alive. Braxton laid in bed shirtless and plaid pajama pants.

"Are you gonna stare all night or are you gonna come lay down?" He asked knocking me out of my trance, my cheeks heated up as I made my way over to jump on the bed. "Stop doing that."

"Sour puss," I mumbled as I got under the silk sheets. I turned away from him before I placed my thumb in my mouth and let my heavy eyelids come to a close.

I was just about to fall completely asleep when I felt Braxton's leg find it's way between mine. I slightly opened my eyes to say something, but I felt my eyelids get heavy as my lack of sleep dwelled on me.
