I looked around at the poolside as I got out and felt the freezing summer night air. I rushed for my towel where it was resting on the pool-chair. I went to grab it and put it around my shivering body. It was soon time for me to go so I went to dry my brace and body off to head to the car.
I headed for my dads car, and started taking to him about the game against Michigan and Michigan State. It was quite a heated debate. The next thing that I new I was trying to stop him from colliding into a semi truck that was turning around the corner when it was supposed to be a red light. I saw a bright flash of light that came from the car and the truck colliding.
I passed out.
When I woke up, I found myself in a hospital bed and an IV tube in my arm.
"Great," I thought. "I really don't have time to be in a hospital right now!" I was in hospitals a lot and I had a history with them! I felt a sharp pain through my right side of my body. I pressed the red nurse button for some help. After they were done checking me out, they told me the news:
My father had unfortunatly passed from a collision with a collisison with a semi truck and my dad's car. It was the truck drivers' fault because he/she turned right when the light turned red and my Dad turned left while the other driver right. The crash left me paralized from the wasze down because of the pressure from the truck and car colliding.
It was a miracle that i was still live because it was supposed to crush me and not my Dad because he was bigger than i was. I was speechless and i couldn't move a single muscle. I wasn't sure I was more shocked that my loving father was home forever, or that all my hard work on legs were wasted because of a rushed driver on the road!! My father was extrememly close to me and I had worked so goddamn hard on my legs.I woke up with anger boiling inside me.
