Jack's POV

Lana was trying to say something. She just doesn't want pity. She doesn't want anyone to help her in her problem. She doesn't want anyone involve in her life.

Including her best friend.

I stopped hugging her then I looked right into her baby blue eyes. "Would you please stop calling yourself worthless? Haven't you realize all these years that I've been helping you, I never ever called you worthless even one time? I care for you just to make you think that you are needed. That someone still cares for you even if you have a family problem. That shouldn't stop you for living a normal life! I always tried my best to keep you feel comfortable and loved. I'm doing all these things because I love you... As a friend!"

I stopped for a while to catch my breath. I realized rhat

"Did you ever realize what would Vic say to you if you were here? He would go crazy! I would go crazy!"

I stand up and walk a few steps to get away from her for a while.

"Jack I.. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry if I made you mad. You don't have to do these things for me. You don't have to always be there"

"But I want to!" I turned around at her and I saw her beautiful eyes. I saw all the pain inside of her. I saw all the anger, and hate, and the fear inside of her. She was so helpless.

"I want to do all these things for you, Lana. I want to stay strong for you. So you have to stay strong for me too. I couldn't bear seeing my best friend be hurt. Please stop hurting yourself. It won't do you any better Lana." We stand still as the wind blew up at our faces. Her hazel brown hair was covering her face. Full of tears. I walked towards her and hugged her tight. I felt her warm body as I hugged her tight. She hugged me back.

"I'm really sorry jack. I'm sorry I'm doing this to my self. I just can't take anymore. Please forgive me for being such a bitch to you. You're right. I shouldn't have done these things to myself. I'm just depressed, that's all. I just need to rest, I guess."

I was so glad she is not that angry to herself anymore. I hope it always stays this way.

I offered her to go inside and talk. I turned on the tv and sat down at the sofa beside Lana. I noticed the blood stains on the sofa that's been sitting there for a while. The stain is already turning to brown.

"I see you already have notice your blood on the sofa." She said.

I laughed as she got up to get the remote and sat down again to change the channel. Oh Lana. She's one of the few people that's not so lazy enough to get the remote control even if it's 10 feet away from her.

"Yes I've noticed my blood. It would be much more better if it's on the dance floor. So it will be called my blood on the dance floor." I said as I was trying to think on how to get rid of the stain. I've decided to just cover it with some throw pillows and boom! My blood stain is covered perfectly and unnoticeable hiding somewhere under these throw pillows.

"But instead, it's blood on the sofa. Hahaha Jack you are so corny! I can't believe me and Vic made friends with you! Hahaha but hey, at least your stain has a cool name!" She is laughing hysterically.

Yeah, I know how to make my friend laugh. Even if it's the worst joke ever, she still laughs at it.

...

"Lana"

"Hmm? What's that corny boy?"

"How come do you laugh at even the worst joke I say to you? I'm starting to think that you're just doing that because you don't want me to become sad and be stuck forever with my lame jokes." I teased her and looked at her with my puppy eyes and baby voice.

"Awww jack. It's not the reason. I just need to be happy and be distracted from all these problem. Besides, your joke is not that lame"

"Really"

"Yes. Promise. Cross my heart."

"Yay! This time, I won't have any second thoughts" I said to her.

She laughed. She is really into jokes. She turned to me and said, "And besides, Vic's jokes are lamer than yours. Do you remember when we were kids and he said a joke that's something like 'What do you call the child of a butter and a fly? A butterfly!"

"Wow. That joke is lame. But we were kids then. We don't know what's corny or not."

"Whatever. Little Viktur's jokes are the kinds of jokes that I wouldn't laugh at. But he is sometimes funny. Jack, don't you dare tell the same lame jokes Vic made or I'll kill you! Hahaha".

"You are so pretty when you laugh"

What did I just said? No no no no no no.

I quickly thought of a quick side comment to that. Think. Think. Think Jack. "Um I mean, you are not pretty. Uh it's not that you're not pretty but you know, uh, you are pretty. Uh, and I'm saying that as a friend. Yeah! As a friend. Uh, so yeah..."

She stared at me like I did something weird. I mean, that is weird.

"Um, that was weird. Are you sure you're okay? Well, do you wanna watch a movie upstairs?" She said to me.

Phew! She doesn't seemed to care. I'm really acting a bit weird today but I'm just glad that she asked me to watch a movie upstairs.

"Ok. What movie do you wanna watch then? Action or Romance? You decide." I said to her. She already look so comfortable on bed and looks excited to watch a movie.

"I prefer Romance. I'm a bit needy for love stories and cheesy happy endings today." She yawned.

"Ok, ma'am." I said to her while I opened and rummaged through the CDs inside my drawer and finally found a cd about romance.

"Just watch the movie and wait for me. Im going downstairs to get some orange juice and some pancakes. I'll be right back." I said and closed the door behind me.

Hey guys!! I'm really sorry if this chapter is short. I'm just working on another story that I haven't published yet. But I guess this is just a filler. There's more exciting stories on the next chapter and the rest.
