BTS, one of Korea's uprising, hip-hop boy rookie groups, has been rumored to add new member. Fans noticed a new member profile being added to the official website as well as small intro clips being released on Youtube. CEO of BigHit Entertainment, Bang Si-hyuk, stated during a press conference admitted that BTS would get a new member.
"It is true one more member will be added to the group. They were originally supposed to debut in a previous idol group but left for personal reasons. They have decided to come back."
When asked to specify as to why this member was so importan, he responded," Well to start off, it is not a boy. Please believe me when I say you will be astonished to find out who exactly this member is."
Though the BigHit CEO gave no specifications, many have assumed he meant that the member is a girl. This has sparked even more rumors— and
Interest— in what is to come of the new member and BTS as a whole.
Will it actually, as assumed, be a female member? Can this be the turning point for all k-pop groups? What exactly will the new member bring to the team? And will this decision be the downfall or the uprising of BTS?
