"Shit!" Pain rocketed through my leg, instantly making me fall onto the couch. "Shit, shit, shit, shit!" I cradled into myself rocking away from the foot. What could possibly hurt me so much you ask? A freaking coffee table, that's what! I was just getting my girlfriend a nice cup of tea. I was gonna be real nice and bring it up on the tray she painted, with the little vase of flowers from the kitchen. Wake her up from her nap with the best girlfriend ever, but I nearly take my good foot off on the leg of a stupid fu-

"Babe! I heard you scream! You okay?!" The voice of a saviour. I could see the flash of her black hair from the couch, jumping off the stairs railing, nearly slamming her glasses into the floor. "Oh my god, are you okay? It's your foot right? Oh god, it's broken isn't it? Okay just hold on, Rachel, I'm going to call 911, just don't move!"

"Jade, no it's not broken," "but-" "And no, I know for sure, I just stubbed it," I explained while unfolding on the couch, and instantly a deep blush rose on Jade's face, before she tucked it into her hands.

"Why," she whined, stretching the y, "I came rushing all the way down here, thinking you were going to die!"

"Was I really that loud?"

"No, but..." she shifted around the couch, kneeling by my face. "I guess I over reacted a bit."

"That's fine, I don't really care. In fact I like that you'd call an ambulance for my stubbed toe." I leaned closer to her, smiling at how she ducked her head a bit.

"I'm glad you're not hurt," she mumbled. She looked like she was gonna say more, but she pounced on me, hugging my stomach and burying her face into my shoulder.I grab her head and hug her back.

"I'm sad I didn't get you tea. That's why I'm down here anyway." I told her, but she didn't move. I shifted to look at her, but Jade had fallen back asleep. I kissed the back of her head. "Love you, hope you sleep well."
