Hey guys,
Another Author's note here. This one is a serious subject that will have links below to explain more. But if you live in the US, please fully read this whole note. This will also be posted in my other stories too. Recently today, the president of the FCC ( Federal Commications Commission) announced plans to overturn laws that affect Net Neutrality. 

Net Neutrality is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Basically, this term gives you free access to the Internet. Currently, we can go anywhere on the internet without paying a fee to a business thanks to this. But if the FCC gets their way , this will not be a thing anymore. For example, you would have to pay in order to watch YouTube or to read any stories on Wattpad since you have to access the internet. This will make it even harder for the poor to have internet in their homes if this transpires.  Companies like Comcast and Verizon are 200% lobbying for these laws to take affect. Why? Cause this gives them more money for their companies and gives easier access for companies like them to track your every move.

Now this sounds really scary cause it is. The concept of the internet is supposed to be free for everyone. Right now it is but  not if we let these companies win this. These laws were put in place to avoid companies abusing their power over the internet. If these laws are gone, well bye bye free internet. This isn't the first time the FCC has done this. They did this before a few years ago but congress told them no.

But this time around, we have a new congress and a new president. Things may not play out the same way only if we speak up! The only way we can stop this is if us, citizens of the Untied States, call our senators, repesentives, and the FCC and tell them KEEP OUR INTERNET FREE! Tell them that we are humans and not dollars signs for your greedy hands. Tell them we choose what sites to go on not you!! Please share this message cause this is extremely important. If we do not stop them now, well bye bye internet.

As I mentioned before, I have posted links below to explain more about Net Neutrality and why it is so important. Remember every one has a voice so please use it. Call your local and state Senators and Repesentives to have them vote against the FCC plans. Also, write or leave a voicemail to the FCC and tell them stop touching our internet!  Let the internet be free and accessible for all. Remember, THIS AFFECTS EVERYONE! If you want to keep watching without paying a fee then call. If you want to keep reading or writing stories online then call. We have the power so let's use it again to stop this!  Please share and spread the word.
