"Turn off the lights for me, baby." Ryan softly said.
Chris got up instantly and rushed over to the light switch. He turned down the dimmer until the overheard lights were as low as a dying flame. To say he was overly excited for Ricky's bandages to come off was an understatement. As soon as he can see, he has a lot more potential as a playmate. Granted, he still had a lot more healing to do, but this is a big step forward.
Ryan felt his baby's delicate touch on his side suddenly. He glanced down briefly to see Chris hiding behind him. Though he was eager, he was obviously nervous. What if Ricky didn't like the way he looked? Or the way his room looked? What if he wasn't as nice once he could see? The young one couldn't quite understand that any reservations in Ricky's behavior came from the fact that he was being held against his will by an evil psychopath. How could he understand, though? Ryan wouldn't even tell him what the word psychopath meant.
In his eyes, there was nothing wrong with treating humans as objectively as toys. Ryan collected them, why couldn't he? Still, that worry lingered. Chris remained clung to his caregiver's side as he leaned over his patient, carefully cutting away the bandages. The edge of the scissors slowly sliced down on the fabric that had been tightly bound around Ricky's eyes for several days, now. He felt the fresh air kiss his skin once his blindfold had finally been removed.
"Take things slowly." Ryan instructed him, his voice oddly delicate.
Ricky took it as slowly as he could. He was anxious to finally be able to see again. He'd never realized how much he'd valued his sight until he'd temporarily lost it. As he lifted his eyelids, his blue irises became visible. They were even more vibrant and gem-like than the set he was born with. A ring of eyeliner was now permanently painted on, just like he was a doll himself.
With Ricky's bandages now gone, Chris could see him in his entirety. He squeaked a little out of happiness. Ryan had done a magnificent job on him. He never made mistakes. Not a single line would ever be out of place, nor would one color ever be a shade off. Chris' mind was already running wild, thinking of all the wonderful things he'd do with his new play things.
Ryan set aside his medical-grade scissors and disregard the used bandage. "How do you feel?" He asked.
"I never thought I'd be able to say my eyes were sore, but there's a first time for everything." He replied, "My head hurts."
"It will for awhile. Can you see decently? As well as you can with the lights dim, that is."
"Yeah..." Ricky trailed off, noticing Chris hiding behind him.
Both Ryan and Chris were a lot to take in. He'd barely gotten a glance of either of them before. Despite Ghost warning him, and Chris even telling him himself, he was still surprised to see the sweet toddler he'd been speaking with over the past few days had the body of a young adult. His voice was relatively matured and that fact helped him ease into the visible adjustment. Chris was pretty hot, too. If he wasn't so young mentally, and if his boyfriend wasn't fucking crazy, Ricky would easily make a move on him.
Perhaps it was the shock of Ryan's appearance that made him so uneasy. He wasn't some old ass coot or some Gollum looking fucker. In fact, he was a pretty attractive man. How'd someone that looked like a typical ladies man end up like this? He was one of those people that doors probably fly open for in the human world. Why would he want to hide away down here and murder people? There were far too many questions, and way too little answers going around.
Ricky sat forward a little, smiling at Chris, "Hi, Sweetie. Are you scared?"
He shook his head, "No... I'm okay."
