Three hundred and forty days. You've been without your boyfriend Riker. He's in the United States Marine Corps. He's been deployed for 340 days. To make matters harder...you where 5 months pregnant when he left. So you have to give birth with him not there. It was the hardest thing you ever had to do. You gave birth to a healthy baby girl. You cry silently, looking over her crib. Ypu haven't had any contact with Riker in a week. You fear the worst. You finally passed out of exhaustion. You woke up to your phone ringing. "Hello?" "Hi, Mrs. Collins?" "This is she..." you said nervous. "I'm going to need you to come to the court house we've found some belongings of your, we'd like you to pick them up." the lady said. You hung up and fed Rae Lynn, your daughter then packed her upafter getting dressed in jean shorts and a t shirt. You went to the court house and saw that Marines where there. It was just two and you wanted to cry because you started to remember how good and handsome Riker looked in his uniform. You held your tears and carried on, your baby in the carrier on your arm. "Excuse me, I was told I had some things to pick up." "And your name?" she asked "Anna Collins." you said slightly annoyed. "Right through those doors." she smiled and you walked to the doors, your converse clopping on the floor.
You opened the door and walked to the counter. "Hi, is this where I pick up my things?" you asked the man behind the counter, you found it odd he was in a white suit as he was just filling papers. But you preceded to reach for your ID when his white gloved hand touched yours. "This is the place." he said. You looked up. To find your husbands eyes. "Ohmygod...." tears over came you. You backed away actually thinking it was a joke. He came around to you. You still slowly backed away as he smiled at you. "Baby its me." he said reaching out and you set the carrier down and caved to him. You threw your arms around him and he held you by your waist. He picked you up and you looked down to him and kissed his lips that you missed so very much. He slowly lowered you still in the kiss and kissed you more passionate. He pulled away. "I would kiss you a lot longer but we're in public." he joked. Ypu hugged him as all the rest of his family appeared. "Surprise!" They said. "Wait. Not yet." Riker said. He smiled to you. He knelt down on one knee. "Anna. I've waited long enough to ask you this....Will you marry me?" he smiled. You cried a little more. "Yes." you had to pull out because you where crying. He placed the most perfect ring on your finger then kissed you then pulled away.
"Riker I think someone wants to meet you." Grandma Stormie said holding Rae Lynn. "Oh my gosh she's perfect." he said before even touching her. He pulled his gloves off and took his baby girl in his arms for the first time. He looked at her for a moment. Then she smiled and leaned down on his chest and put her arms around his neck. Riker couldn't hold it he srarted to cry, the fear of his little girl hating him now gone. He hugged her just as tight as she hugged him. She pulled up and looked at him in the eye. "I love dada." she said. He smiled through tears and she fell back into his neck. He pulled you to him and hugged you both.
