dj laid on her stomach in bed, her favorite stuffed animal under her body and chin. " so you decide to leave me on read for five hours and now you wanna talk? " she questioned, her blue orbs rolling before looking down at her screen to find jaeden looking at her with a smile.

she tried to at least pretend to be mad at the boy, dj was an actress for fucks sake. but deep down she knew she would never be able to be mad at him.

jaeden however was beaming as he looked at the girl. the first thing he noticed, like always when they facetimed or videochated, were dj's blue eyes. although he loved everything about her, her eyes were his favorite. they reminded him of the ocean for some reason.

" i'm sorry, something came up ! " jaeden explained with a smile as he looked at dj. to her he appeared to be walking but she couldn't tell where to.

dj shook her head, " yeah, yeah, whatever you say. so are you actually coming to new york ? " she asked, her eyes filled with curiosity and excitement. she fixed her position, pulling the stuffed lion from under her a bit.

pretending to look disappointed, jaeden shook his head. " okay, so maybe not exactly . . . " he answered with a sigh.

" oh. right . . . i knew you were fucking with me. " dj replied, burying her nose in the lion. real disappointment and sadness had filled, as she looked down. for a moment she thought she'd actually be meeting jaeden. not jaeden lieberher, the actor girls wanted but her jaeden.

tears welded up in dj's blue eyes at the thought of the sick prank he pulled. at the sight of this, jaeden fell into a slight panic. " i wasn't fucking with you completely. " he told her, the corner of his lips turning upward slightly. jaeden quickly put his mic on mute as he knocked on the apartment door before looking back at his screen.

dj pulled her brown hair back, tilting her head in wonder. " hold on, someone's at the door. " dj interrupted, sitting up from her previous position.

the boy nodded as he was left with the view of dj's white and green room.

dj sighed deeply, patting her probably red cheeks as she padded down the hall to the door of her apartment. she wasn't expecting anyone so she was deeply annoyed to have been interrupted. she pulled open the wooden door, looking out.

" i'm actually flying in earlier than expected. " jaeden said with a smirk as soon as the image of dj ryder came in view.

dj, with those ocean eyes that jaeden loved oh so much, gasped as a hand flew to her mouth. " oh my god ! " she cried, throwing her arms around his neck in a hug. " i can't believe you're here. " dj murmured, closing her watery eyes as she buried her head into his neck.

jaeden chuckled weakly, his arms wrapping around dj's waist and his nose burying into her hair. " yeah, like i said before, earlier than expected. " he told her softly.
