"Lily you must not tell anyone about your talent for you'll only get hurt like your mother" My dad explained to me as we waited for the waiter to come back to our table with our food.. "Dad you've told me before and I haven't told a soul, if I did do you think I would still be here today sitting at this table with you." I glowered back. he quickly glanced at something behind me and looked to me again. The waiter walked up and put our food on the table "Lily" he said as everyone that sees me says. Only because I was different than everybody else. I had a secret that nobody could know. Everyone had a talent and would once become famous for it in their future but me, well everything I did I had to try hard or at least look like I was trying hard. I had to act like everything was complicated to do and act like it was hard for me. Although it wasn't, honestly if I tried I would be great at it, like everyone else was. But I had to hide it because of the talent I had that nobody else had. Only I possessed the talent and it was evil. To be honest though, I thought it was purely beautiful, and a great possession to have because even though I had to hide my true talent, I had days where I could go out into our field and do what no other could do.

Looking back up to the waiter I smiled and said, as always, "yes".  And the same as every time he looked to me and said " where's your talent?" Ugh I've had enough. Pulling out the chair with a loud scrape, and standing to his height, "come again" he looked at me and laughed. "Oh Lily what could you possibly do your not good at anything" The madder I got the more I realized I could not give away what I could really do and I sat back down. If I really wanted to I could take him down, if only I was allowed. Who was my mom to give me this talent when I had never met her. When they killed her straight after I was born, Pathetic is all she was. Instantly feeling guilty after thinking that I listened to what the waiter had to say. "See now be a good weak girl cause that's all you can be, Love" Then he winked and walked away. I looked to my dad and stared at him wildly. "You couldn't stick up for me a little?" I asked in the heaviest tone I could pick up on. "I was studying how you handle things, Lily, I needed to know how you handle things all the time and you handled it wrong that was no miss slip Lily and you almost risked you true identity" "True identity. You talk like a i'm a criminal and I almost got caught killing, that was the first time that's happened Dad and I think I handled it just dandily. So you can suck it up. I don't care if your trying to protect me but you could've stood up for me. Why did I have to be the one left with this curse? Mom was stupid to tell the world straight after I was born. What she couldn't stay to raise me for one day" I hated her, she didn't even stay to take care of me for an hour or two before she ran of to tell the world what she was thinking she could save her "kind"" "Lily now you can skip dinner at this nice restaurant and go home, to bed, and I will see you tomorrow." "I wish I wouldn't have to see you at all" I mumbled under my breath. "What was that?" he questioned but I had already stood up and was in the process of walking out the door. Then I disappeared  into the shadows and started the long walk, through the forest ,home.

Getting home I climbed the stairs and headed toward my bedroom on the third floor of our house. I guess you could say my dad was rich but everyone's parents in town were. Entering my room I walked toward my closet and picked up my pajama shirt, witch was only a band shirt, and my pajama shorts and walked straight toward the bathroom. I changed into my pajamas and left the bathroom. Getting into bed I blew out my candle and fell asleep  instantly, as my head hit the pillow.
