Five best friends sat up in their tree house, dreaming of a time when they could be free. Free from their parents. Free from their sad excuse of a town. Free to roam the coast of their beloved California.
Each one had their own dream. One to visit the place where he dreamed one day his name would be among the greats. One dreamed of finding true love. One dreamed of riding the perfect wave. One dreamed of going on an epic adventure. And one dreamed of just spending time with her best friends.
It was a week before their freshman year, and before they desended down the rope ladder that evening they made a promise to each other, to make sure that their dream of the perfect summer on the coast of California would come true.
Over three years the five planned their adventure. They saved up every cent they could, decided on the perfect route to travel and even planned where they would stay. Everything was in place, except for the minor detail of permission from their parents.
But to this group of friends, absolutely nothing would stand in the way. One way or another, the summer before their senior year would be the summer they're dreams finally became a reality.
