I sat down next to my friend Merida in potions class. As the Hufflepuffs walked in I felt my heart racing against my chest. Kristoff Bjornman, the amazingly dorky yet adorable muggle, walked with three of his Hufflepuff friends, Florian, A Half-Blood, and Ivory and Snow, two pure bloods. I saw Kristoff's brown eyes look over at me and we met eyes. He blushed brightly and looked down, bumping into a desk and falling to the ground. Mostly everyone in class burst out laughing, Aurora rolled her violet eyes and sat down. I knelt down and offered him my hand. "Are you alright?"
He looked up at me like a deer in headlights, his cheeks turning red. "Um..Um.." He stuttered. "You're gorgeous. Wait what...?!" I turned bright red. "Thank you?" Just then professor Weasley walked in.
"Alright class settle down. Kristoff get off the ground." She said. As everyone sat down she cleared her throat. "Can anyone tell me what this is?" Professor Weasley held up a vial of bright yellow liquid. Philip was the first to raise his hand. "It's Euphoria. It causes the drinker excessive happiness and cures depression." "Good Mr. Princeton. Can anyone tell me the side effects?" Anna went to raise her hand but Aurora beat her to it. "Excessive singing, not that that's a bad thing, and tweeting like a bird. But that can be offset by peppermint.". "Good Ms. Rose. Now that's what we are making today. Ill pair you into groups of Two. First we have Anna and Kristoff." I felt my cheeks blush furiously and I looked over at Kristoff. He was blushing too. "Next we Have Aurora and Phillip." Phillip and Aurora smiled at each other. Everyone shipped them, and they made the cutest couple ever. "Snow and Florian." They had been together since first year. "Cindy and Henry." They made another cute couple. "Ariel and Merida." They high-fived and yelled "Redhead power!"
After Professor Weasley paired everyone off, I joined Kristoff at his desk. "Hi. " He mumbled, still embarrassed from earlier. "Hi." I said, sitting down next to him. He opened his book and clumsily flipped trough until he found the recipe. "Okay. we need shrivilfigs, Porkupine quills, peppermint sprigs, sopophorus beans and wormwood." I nodded a filled our cauldron up half way with water.
"Okay. " I said, setting the cauldron down and lighting a fire beneath. "First we add the peppermint until it turns red." Kristoff added the peppermint and I read the next step. "Now the shrivalfig until it turns turquoise." We both reached for the shrivalfig at the same time, Our hands rested on eachothers. We both looked into eachothers eyes, waiting for the other to pull their hand away.
"I knew it was bound to happen!" Snow said behind us, putting one arm around Kristoff and one arm around me. "You so like eachother!" "I...She...It's not....oh shut up Snow!" Kristoff mumbled embarrassed, neither one of us denying anything.
After class I gathered up my books and couldn't help but think to myself, Did Kristoff really like me back?
