I stood watching her run away. Did I say something wrong? Did she think I was hitting on her? How would she even know that I was gay? I'm just an ordinary kid, not famous like the other students here.
I gave up asking myself questions I'd never be able to answer and decided to do some investigation of the school myself.
I didn't really find much. It was an ordinary school, except for the metal plates over all the windows.
After a fruitless search, I returned to the lunchroom. A few of the other students were there as well. I looked around, but Fukawa wasn't there.
I made small talk with some of the other students until everyone got back from their search. Their searches proved to be fruitless as well. We were silent for a while, the crushing despair hanging over our heads. We had no way to escape. Except murder.
"Well, we need to establish some rules to prevent anyone from getting killed." Ishimaru spoke up. "We need to all agree not to resort to violence under any circumstances. Everyone promise not to kill each other."
A.N: Oh boy it's been a while. I'm completing and publishing this chapter for shits and giggles. I may or may not write more. It's been 2 years (I think? I didn't count but it felt like two years.) but here we go, picking right up where we left off."Like that's going to fucking work." A boy with a large pompadour kicked his feet onto the table and scoffed. He hadn't introduced himself to me.
"Get your feet off the table, that is gross and disrespectful."
He rolled his eyes and scoffed again. I sighed and moved my chair back from the table, I wasn't in the mood to sit though the bickering that would likely ensue from those two being in the same room. I stood up and pushed my chair back in, luckily, people didn't notice me leaving. They were focused on the two arguing boys. Stepping out into the hall, I thought I saw someone turn around the corner. I followed them.
I rounded the corner and bumped into... a tall blonde boy in a green suit. He glared at me.
"Don't any of you halfwits watch where you're going?" He pushed his glasses up and sneered, then stormed off, leaving me standing in the hall.
I stood there, puzzled. After a moment, I decided to just head to the dorms. It's been a long day. I think I deserved a nap. The dorms weren't far from the cafeteria thankfully. As I approached the dorms, I saw her again. Fukawa was standing by her door, fiddling with her key. Hesitantly, I approached her.
"Key trouble?"
"Wh- I, no I've got it- She looked up, scowling, but her face softened a bit when she saw me. Then promptly returned to her usual frown. "Oh, it's you."
"Do you need help with your keys?" I smiled warmly at her. "I'm pretty good at mundane things like helping people with keys and opening lockers and stuff. It's no ultimate talent, but it's useful."
"No, I've-" She tried to jam the key into the lock again, it didn't work, and she accidentally dropped the keys. "Shit."
We both bent down to pick up the keys. For a second, out hands touched, and hers lingered on mine for just a second longer than it needed to. We both looked up, she was blushing, I'm pretty sure I was too. Suddenly, she stood up and pushed her glasses up, looking away from me. I grabbed the keys and unlocked her door for her.
"T-thanks." She mumbled, taking the keys from me, then she closed the door.
I stood in the hall, still processing that interaction. I looked down at my hand, staring at the part she had brushed with hers. Unlocking my door and entering my room, I sighed. I flopped down on the bed and stared at the ceiling, my mind racing. Well, today was certainly interesting. I sighed. Best that I just get some sleep now.
As I lay there, thinking about this situation, the whole killing game thing, I couldn't stop my mind from drifting back to her.
A.N. Again. I may write more, based on how many people read this, I don't know how many readers are still here, it's been a while. I'm also going to try to make the chapters longer because, they were really short before. Okay that's it, bye.
