Long ago, when the pyramids were still young, Egyptian Kings played a game of great and terrible power. But these Shadow Games erupted into a war that threatened to destroy the entire world. Until a brave and powerful pharaoh locked the power away imprisoning it in seven mystical, millennium items. Now 5,000 years later, a boy named Harry unlocks the secret of the Millennium Puzzle. He is infused with ancient, magical energy. For destiny has chosen him, to defend the world from the Shadow Games. Just as the brave Pharaoh did, 5,000 years ago.

Privet Drive No. 4; Midnight

"There we go," Harry whispered as he put the final piece of the puzzle, before putting it on and looking in a mirror. "Not to shabby if I do say so myself... Wonder what it does?"

At that moment, the center of the eye glowed gold and several monsters appeared. The most notable ones were a dragon-like creature, a ghostly one, and a fur ball with green paws and feet. As Harry began backing up in fear as the fur ball leapt towards him, the puzzle then shot out golden rays of ancient magic and he felt a power overwhelm him as he shouted, "YU-GI-OH!!!"

When it was done, a golden-yellow eye was on the center of his forehead and "Harry" said, while holding the puzzle, "Shadow Creatures! Begone! I command you!"

As he spoke, a golden light shown from the Millennium Puzzle and all of the monsters convulsed as if they were in pain and were then sucked back into the Millennium Puzzle in a bright, golden flash of ancient and borderline dark magic.

"Huh?" Harry said looking around. "W-What happened?"

Somewhere in Europe

The Shade of Voldemort then screeched as it felt pain flare across it's faded body and before saying, "Someone has destroyed one... I must find them and kill them."

A/N: You will find out how the Horcrux was destroyed in the next chapter. If you have already figured it out, do not mention a thing. I like to surprise my readers. Thank you.

Granger Home, Southeast England; Midnight

Hermione was still up at midnight as she touched her Millennium Necklace and said, "The Pharaoh has returned this night... Thomas better watch out, for he will fall by the Pharaoh's hand."

It was never to happen, but after 5,000 years it did. Now with it, the Shadow Games begin again.

A/N: This has taken the place of my second story I have written on this site. Chapter 1 is in progress. I do not know how long it will take to finish. Hope you enjoyed it!
