I knew it was wrong to evade his privacy at his absence but fuck right and wrong there was no way I was going to risk seeing him when he was already in no I had to come before get all these developing fantasies in control so that when he came in I would be at my best professional self. And yes I flashed my badge at the secretary so she had to let me in. I had already composed my self when I got a txt..

The door opened before I could reply and here comes Mr sexy af. I struggled to keep my composure again then he offers his hand for a hand shake no that's not going to happen then I'll be forced to make my hand linger longer as I feel his touch. No inter bitch no can do I thought as I sat cross from him. To be honest if he did know anything about Mr Adam then I would have stayed longer and listened to that voice even his voice was sexy who the hell was blessed the much? And yeah I was looking at everything but him because for the second  time my member is up and he hasn't done anything. Oh God I finally need a shrink for this one.

He is out of your league Alex you do not have a chance with him get that. I kept repeating that to myself and now I was ready to go he wasn't helping me anyway not with my sexuality or with the case. I stood up to leave then he follows me but I was soo hard right now and him coming closer only made it worse but what was most embarrassing was me running out of there scared he would notice. But he was right about one thing I was avoiding looking at him alringht but he didn't need to know that. Am certain we'd never meet again. I hope so.

I entered my office and Chris was there with smirk across his face.

"Wipe the smirk please" I said as I sat on my chair and sipped on water in a bottle.

"How'd it go? He asked

"The man has nothing to offer he knows nadda about his employees his secretary told me he only cared about making money."

"That's douchey," Chris said

"I guess," I said and started writing the report.

"You have it bad for him don't you?" U looked at Chris and saw a serious expression on his face and I knew what that meant in 3, 2, 1 here we go...

"Alex you know that he is a possible suspect or even n accessory to the murder let alone you do not know him well. Do I need to remind you of all the other times this has happened? When you were head over heels for that Damien guy and he dumped you after sex oh and the next day was announcing his marriage to a super model or whatever she was? You really need to listen to phrase of once bitten twice shy but you my friend are twice bitten now this will be the third and this time around I will not stick around to watch you crumble." He said leaving the office. But Chris was right, the last two of my boyfriends were exactly like Clark, they were rich powerful and handsome they both dumped me after sex one claiming sex with me wasn't enough and the other claiming that it was an experiment that failed. Chris was soo right, I saw the man's beauty and I was totally head over heels now I have to put my brains first and avoid the guy or am going to end up dead inside again.
 
Jonathan's POV

I spent the whole day thinking about him running away from me, what even led me to tease him like that what got into me I've never behaved like that before. I was thought as I opened my door and got into the house. My foot hit a box and I switched on the lights so I could see what I had hit, it was a large box covered in a gift wrap. I wonder how it got inside the house no one has my keys except for me.

I took the box and sat down in my living room n opened it, what u saw inside nearly gave me a heartattack, it was kitten shot in the head and a bloody note written "LAY OFF OR BE NEXT" I didn't even think I immediately took the detectives card and called right away. Was thus an attempt on my life? Were this the people who killed Adam? Was i next? What was I supposed to lay off of? I went to my bar room and mixed three types of strong drinks to cool me down or else I will freak out all over.

Minutes later detective chris was at my living room asking me questions and detective Mc'Don was studying the Kitten then he removed the bullet from the kittens forehead. Which psycho even harms a kitten? I thought as i looked at the poor animal.

"Chris," Mc'Don called his partner making both of us look at him "it's the same one," he said showing the bullet and put it in a transparent bag.

"What do you mean same one?" I asked confused.

"The same type of bullet used to kill your manager,". Chris answered " this means that it was done by the same person and they are now threatening you."

I stood and started walking around i have never even once thought that someone would ever try and threaten to murder me, I even thought that  Adam's death was not even related to the company now the possibility is very high.

"Is there anyone who had or has beef with both you and Adam?" Chris asked

"No i don't think so, i didn't even know the guy we just worked together."

"Okay sir I need a list of all your projects and for the meantime well get you security just for safety measures." Chris said standing to leave.

"I'll stay," detective Mc'Don said earning a piercing look from his partner and a confused look from me. Why would he offer that he didn't even know me. He himself did not even look sure about it. What the hell has he gotten himself and me into?
