The Galaxy Creature turned around in confusion to see the bright red balloon behind it. It smiled looking at its reflection within the balloon. It looked around to see Bennie desperately trying to cross the street. When he finally made his way over to it he looked down and apologized for the inconvenience.
"I'm terribly sorry miss."
"Hm? Oh, that's quite alright. Is this yours?" She asked pointing up at the shiny red balloon.
Bennie blushed looking down with a quiet response of "yes"
"Here ya go" she said handing him the balloon.
"Thank you."
"No problem. You're an artist. "
"Huh?" Bennie had forgotten all about the painting of the angel in his hand.
"Oh, uh..yeah."
"That's awesome! Is any of your art in the museum?"
"Heh, no. Not..yet."
"..wait...I know where that is...is that..me?"
"Huh? Oh! Uh, no!"
"Huh. She's beautiful"
"Yeah..."
"My name's Vanessa" she said holding out her hand.
Bennie stared awkwardly for a moment and then shook her hand.
"Bennie."
"Well, have a nice day Bennie. Good luck with your art."
"Yeah, you too-"
Bennie put his hand over his face in embarrassment from his response. Vanessa giggled and covered her mouth.
"See you around, Bennie."
"See ya...."
the bright red ballon in Bennie's hand hit him in the head and then pulled with the wind back towards Vanessa. Bennie just stood there confused and daydreaming. Finally, he turned to walk away. He took one step and then stopped. He quickly looked around and then ran back across the street to the library. This time, Bennie went inside. He looked around for Chelsey and ran towards her.
"Why Mr Bennie. Welcome. You've finally stepped inside the library I see."
"Chelsey, no time. She talked to me."
"Who?"
"Vanessa."
"Ah, now would this be your so called red headed creature?"
"Yes. *sigh*"
"Haha. I told you she wouldn't hurt you. All you had to do was muster up the courage to walk over there and talk to her."
"Now what do I do?"
"Well, what'd she say?"
"She..she saw my painting of her and asked if it was her and if my work was in the museum."
" oh. Was that all?"
"Pretty much"
"Oh Bennie. We have work to do."
"Work?"
"Yes. Now I'm assuming that you're not going to just go walk up to her and ask her out?"
"Uh uh. No way."
"That's what I thought. Come here, I'm going to tell you a secret."
Chelsey whispered something into Bennie's ear and he nodded back at her. Without hesitation, he left the library and started back towards his house to begin working on Chelsey's plan.
