God is real.
God is real...here...now.
Not some figment of your imagination.
Not some mythical hero.
Not just a good feeling or a whim or a good idea somebody drummed up to make us all feel better.
One hundred percent true.
God is passionate.
Not lukewarm.
Not so-so.
Not ho-hum.
Not tame or safe or containable.
God's love for you is burning, unwavering, fervent, strong, eternal, intimate, close and fierce.
God is relentless.
God won't give up on you. He just won't. God will pursue you. God's determination is untiring. God's pursuit of you is unflagging. The poet Francis Thompson called God "The Hound of Heaven"- He's a God whose love will track you down and turn you around. Running from God, hiding from God, ignoring God... it just won't work. God will stop at nothing- not even a brutal death on the cross- to pursue a restored, meaningful and powerful relationship with you.
