Chapter 16

Zayn's POV (cont.)

"The bad news is that she is in a coma for now and we don't know how long she will be in it, it could be a couple of days, months, even years" the doctor said

My heart just sunk,

"But the good news is, she is on the fast track to recovery, we were able to stop the bleeding and made sure she wasn't brain dead or anything wrong with her brain, y'all are lucky that whoever pulled her out in time did because otherwise y'all would have lost her" the doctor said

And with that the doctor walked away and her parents ran in and her brother hugged me and thanked me for pulling her out in time. Her nurse came over to us and asked who wanted to she her first an I let her family go first. After a while the boys showed up with Louis an I told them what was happening and I apologized to Louis and he apologized. We all just kind of made small talk until her family came out and then I went in to see her.

When I saw her tears slipped down my face, I walked over to the edge of the bed and grabbed her hand and held it.

-One month later-

Zayn's POV (cont.)

So it's been a month now and Noelle still hasn't woken up from her coma. The doctors said she back tracked for a little bit but then got her on the right track to heal and they have seen improvements. I've been sitting at the edge of the hospital bed everyday that I could. Even on days I had to work, right now I'm sitting in her hospital room playing with her fingers.

"Where, where am I" I head a voice and I look up and see her staring at me. I get up so fast.

"Your in the hospital love" I said to her. She looked at me weird.

"Who are you" she said and that broke my heart. I push the button to call the nurse in.

"What happened" she asked the nurse.

"What is your name sweetie?" The nurse asked

"I Idk" she said

The nurse went to go grab the doctor. And the doctor rushes in. And starts looking at her.

"It's just temporary memory loss, nothin major but if you want her to remember things quickly help her by making her remember things. Then her brain will starts remembering memories if you recreate them or show her videos" the doctor said to me

I nodded and walked back over to her. I grabbed her hand carefully. And her family walked in.

"Who are you guys" she said and her family seemed hurt.

"It's only temporary" I told them

They nodded and we stayed by her bed for a while.

Noelle's POV

I wake to a bright light and strangers in a white room. I guess by the guy holding my hand said that I'm in the hospital. But how'd I get here. And soon other people bursted into the room.

"Who are you guys" I said. I could tell they were hurt but I don't know who they are. I don't even know my own name

This is so frustrating.

-two weeks later-

I still don't remember anything. This guy I learned his name was Zayn been staying by my side. My family hasn't left either. I really wish I can remember. They've been trying everything to get me to remember and I've been out of the hospital for a week now. I can't stay home alone so I have to stay with Zayn. I get out of the shower and get into comfy clothes and I walk out of the bathroom.

I go and lay on the bed and I guess I went to sleep.

Zayn's POV

It sucks that she can't remember but I'm not giving up on her. I've been showing her family videos. Videos and pictures of us together but it's not working. Right now I'm in my art room spray painting. I start outlining a rose. I have my music on and I'm just getting to work. As I finish doing the outline I grab the red and start filling it in. As I'm finishing it I feel arms wrap around me from the back. I jump a little and turn around to see tears in Noelle's eyes.

"What's wrong love" I said worried.

"I I remember the accident" she said and my eyes grew big.

"But that's not all I remember everything" she added. I hugged her tight and she giggles.

"Thank you for being patient with me" she said kissing me. I kiss back missing her lips on mine.

"Your welcome baby girl" I said kissing her
