KaraI finally get to see Mon-El again. The one time when I actually know I'm gonna see him and It's not a surprise. We're having a ball to celebrate my place on the board. The best part is Mon-El and his family are staying for a few days so I get to see him everyday from now. I waste the entire day rushing around or in my room trying to kill time. But then the door rings and I hear his mothers voice down stairs.
I finish putting my red dress on and run down the stairs. All the maids see me un discreetly fall over without any grace but I don't care. I have to get to him as soon as possible. I haven't seen him for one month this time and everyday has been torture.
"Kara can you show Mon-El to his room." My mother asked as I finally reach the bottom of the stairs.
"Urh if I have to." I moan. My mother nods and Mon-El makes his way up the stairs. We get to the top and he is quick to embrace me.
"Mon-El not here. There are other people. They will see us." I try to keep my voice down.
"And? let them stare. I haven't seen you in so long." He smiles.
"Okay." I wiggle out of his arms before anyone can notice. His room is right next to mine. I guess my mother figured since we 'hate' each other it wouldn't matter how close or far apart we are. I open the door for him but he pulls me straight into the room. The door slams behind us which is a good thing because now I'm pinned up against it. His lips move in sink with mine and I've never felt more happy. This is all I ever wanted.
His hands are in his usual place holding my face in his palms. We make it to the bed and land softly. He fiddles with my zip but yet again my mother interrupts. She starts to open the door and we both scramble to get off of each other in time. I sit in a chair and he acts like he's unpacking clothes.
"I heard banging is everything okay." I let out a giggle and mother just looks at me confused. "Come down the ball is starting." We both follow her to the dance hall where a lot of people are waiting. Some are dancing, some are talking. Mon-El goes and sits with his family while I am left with mine.
"Kara why don't you go and dance with Mon-El. Show unity between our worlds." I quickly nod and make my way over to Mon-El. How could I say no?
"Father thinks we should dance." I shout acting uninterested over the music.
"Okay. " He excepts faking his unwillingness.
We glide along the dance floor without caring about our parents. Every step and every beat of the music feels like 100. It's so good.
"Kara?" He asks.
"Ummm." I ask not being able to say anything else.
"What do we do after this. How serious do you wanna be....us to be." Im confused by his question.
"As serious as we possibly can be." I say dismissing his silly question.
"I meant do we tell our parents?" Something inside me tells me to get angry at him. I don't want to but it's starting to take control.
"I'll tell mine when I want to. You tell yours when you want to. I didn't know it was that hard." He looks confused. "Look Mon-El I feel like your just using me, like you use everyone, so is it okay to just have some space to my self or at least calm things down like jeez every time you see me your almost on top of me. I think your just scared. Scared of rejection. But I guess your already used to it from your father." He looks like I just slapped him in the face.
"Kara..." I must have hurt him badly as he gives up with what he was going to say and walks away. I leave him to do what he wants. Wait what just happened? I run after him after a while, waiting for him to have some time to calm down.
