We sit on the dock, next to the gleaming lake. It's cool, but still warm enough to allow her to wear her, or should I say my old, green hoodie. She sat, cradled up to my chest, under my arm. I was holding the fishing rod and admiring her beauty, while lazily swaying the fishing rod. The air smelled of water and fall, the trees turning every hue of golden orange. The stars blazed with a fury you could never see inside the city. The cool air crisp and fresh as it blew her hair gently over her face, her face curved in a peaceful smile. I feel a tug on the rod, and start gently reeling in the small fish. She slowly stretches and looks around sleepily, then jumps a little as I bring the little sunfish out of the water, flipping in the air. "Surprise!" I joke as I swing the fish near her, she jumps back out of my arm and does a childish squeal, smiling and hiding behind my back. She keeps her eyes over my shoulder and watches the fish flip around with curiosity. "What, you've never been fishing?" I laugh, slipping the small hook fluently out of the fishes mouth. "Shut up! I don't do good with fish!" She squeels with a curious grin, just before I toss the fish back into the water. She kisses my neck gently and the warmth sends a shudder through my veins. "You are such a noob" I say as I turn back and kiss her tenderly, wiping my hand on my jeans leg. She pulls away from the kiss and feigns offense, "Hey! I just washed those mister!". I shrug playfully as she slaps my arm and pouts, looping my arm around her shoulders as we walk back up to the house. "This is why I don't buy you new jeans, you dork" She jokes as we walk through the grass, gleaming in the orange light of the sunset, casting orange shadows across her creamy silk face.
