Chapter 3

Lexi's POV:

What was I thinking?

I thought I could just bring Niall with me and Louis out into the world and not worry that he will get hurt, but I was wrong. Bringing Niall with me gave him more of a risk of getting hurt, or even dying. We couldn't go back, not like this. We were already out of town heading out to wherever Louis was taking us. Niall was asleep of course, still moaning and groaning from the pain. How am I going to tell him? How am I going to tell him that we practically kidnapped him? I sat in the back of the car with Niall's head resting on my lap, thinking about the right moment and the right way to tell him. I sat there in the car, looking out at the sky and then focusing back to Niall. God, I only met him a couple of days ago, but it seemed like I already knew him. Yeah, I know, weird right? I dont know, there's something about the way he acted around me that made me feel different around him. Niall slept like a baby for the next two hours, while we were almost to our destination. 

Once we got to the cabin, Niall began to wake up.

"Hmm...hey."

"Oh, hi." We quietly sat in the back seats of the car as Niall got up from my lap.

"Feeling better?"

"Kinda...Where are we?" There it was. There was my moment. My moment to tell him we kidnapped him. Great, here it goes.

We sat there awkwardly before I opened the door and got out of the car and began walking back and forth in nervousness.

"Lexi...where are we-"

"I kidnapped you." The words spat out of my mouth as fast as the speed of a cheetah. Niall looked at me, but his facial expression showed more than one emotion: shock, pain, sadness, and anger.

"You what-"

"I didn't mean too! You were hurt, I didn't know what to do, you knew about the beast already I didn't want to risk you getting hurt again, or even worse-"

"WAIT, WHAT-"

"I'M NOT DONE!" I nervously yelled at Niall because I needed to tell him everything. "Now, what I was saying. You know our secret now, which means you know what else is out there in this world, which means...you could get hurt. Now because I got you into this it's my duty to keep you safe from every harm."

"Lexi. I can take care of myself."

"Not anymore you can't. Not after what you just witnessed a few hours ago." We stood out in the dark woods in silence, still trying to get him to understand our dilemma.

"I'm sorry I got you into this. It's my fault, you wouldn't have gotten hurt if it wasn't for my stupid-"

"Hey, no don't say that. I didn't get my ass out of the building, instead I went to check on you. And hey if this means that I get to spend time with you-" Before finishing his sentence, he grabbed my hand and stood closer to me.

"That's great." I backed away from him, hiding my face. It was getting awkward way to fast, but I liked it.

"Well, what are we going to tell your mom?"

"Nothing."

"You're going to leave your mom in agony and sadness because her son disappeared? Niall, that's harsh." 

"Well, I can't just tell her I'm leaving because I'm being chased by beasts, now can I?"

"No you can't. I got that handled. From now on, Lexi and I will teach you the basics of hunting." Louis came out of the cabin, handing me and Niall guns and bags of our own weapons.
