*time skip*
Well it's already been one week here in Littlefield and I've got to say. It is so damn boring out here, I mean don't get me wrong I like small towns like the next person but, c'mon half the town is dead and abandoned to rot away. I guess the only good thing is, is that your friends are so close and you get to hang out together a little more."Liam, Hunter go to the park and hang out with your friends or do something besides play on those motherfuckin games." Mom said irritatingly. I sighed deeply "I guess, let's go Hunter. I'll let you call some friends on my phone after I get a hold of mine ok?" He looks up at me from the TV screen "Yeah sure, whatever." As he looks back at the screen in the snap of a finger. 'At least I can stay off my device for an hour or so,' I thought to myself as I walked out the door and down the street to the closest park. Moses is sitting on a park table with a couple of girls to one side, as I'm walking up he turns in my direction and smiles. "Liam my nigga, where you been at for the past few days haven't seen you since you first couple of days in school." I smirk and shrug "Been busy unpacking my shit, you know how it is when you barely move somewhere." He laughs then introduces me to all of the girls at the table in order "Liam this is Ori, Yasmine, Victoria, Zoey, and Giselle." He looks back at the group "Girls this is the new kid, Liam." I smile and they all smile back as the all speak in unison "Hi Liam!" As soon as they hear themselves they giggle. "Can I touch your hair?" Ori asks me out of the blue. "Um sure I guess." As I slowly walk up to the table the girls immediately surround me like I'm the shiny new toy in kindergarten again.
Then I hear someone sniff my neck "Mmm shorty you smell good." As I turn around it was Victoria. "Heyyy!! That should be your new nickname, Shorty." Zoey smiles brightly at me. I think about the name for a moment. "I mean it fits me perfectly, I am the shortest person here possibly in this whole small town." I say to myself in my mind. "Hmm, sure why not beats being called Liam all the time." I laugh and they all laugh. I think to myself again, "Hey maybe living here really won't be so bad. I could get use to this type of treatment." As Moses is talking to us all about school tomorrow and what he's gonna do to this guy if he sees him. A girl walking alone catches my eye he looks back at me and she smiles at me shyly. And I try to get a better look at her as she's walking away. "Moses, who's that?" As I nod over in her direction. He follows my gaze, "Oh nooo boy, you don't want that one." He shakes like he just had a chill go down his spine. "Why do you say that?" I ask him curiously.
"Look man, you just be happier if you stay away from that one. Trust me I know what I'm talking about." He reassures me trying to make me shift my attention to the girls surrounding me. "Hmm I guess, but you will tell me more about this tomorrow ok?" I look at him for some confirmation. "Yeah, Yeah. Whatever will get your mind off of the idea of trying with her I'll do. Hell I'll even tell you the whole story if I have to." He chuckles and we go back to our normal conversation.
