SCENE I.
"I love you..." Clark says before completely slumping on the floor.
"Aaaand CUT!" The director yelled. Tom stands up from his position, and walks down the loft set. "That's a wrap. Good take, everybody." The director shook hands with Tom, and Tom smiles at him. "Good job, Tom."
"Thanks, man."
Tom Welling is the charmingly enigmatic male lead of the show, Smallville, where he plays a young Clark Kent, as he treads the journey to becoming Superman.
Opposite him, stars the breathtakingly alluring Kristin Kreuk, playing the role of Clark's one and only first love : Lana Lang.
Their director soon made his way to Kristin who's standing nearby, talking to some of the crew. "Kris."
"Hey,"
"Kristin, you are...AMAZING. As per USUAL." They hugged and Kris smiles.
"Why, thank you." She chuckles a bit softly.
Tom looks at Kris from a distance, and they make intense eye contact. They smile at each other. He was ready to make his way to her, maybe steal her away from the crowd so he can have her all to himself... Even only for a few minutes.
He's fantasized about these things for the last eight years. Not that she ever knew about it. Not that the woman he loves ever found out what he truly feels for her. How he honestly feels about her.
No.
She doesn't know. He never quite gathered up the courage. He was never able to collect the guts.
Which makes Clark Kent a whole lot better than him. At least, after what? Two years? He's already summoned up the will to finally reveal to Lana how much he truly loves her. Or not so much 'reveal' as 'say it out loud' finally. After all, it's not like there's a soul in Smallville who doesn't know how much Clark Kent is crazy about Lana Lang. How the Farmboy is so into the Girl-Next-Door. Even Lana herself knows. Had been aware of it for a while. And she's only waiting for him to make a move. At last, he did. Near the end of Season Two. 'Calling', the episode was titled.
