KCPC - Chapter 3 - Dream

3. DREAM

(Kino)

When I went upstairs, Raira is really sleeping. She removed her eyeglasses, and she looks so beautiful with her long dark pink hair freed from her weird ponytail.

Her blanket fell on the floor, and she is wearing a pajama and a blouse that doesn't suit with each other's style and color.

I laughed charily, so I won't wake her up.

I take the blanket and covered her curled body.

She looks so naïve.

After making sure that she won't feel cold, I make sure that the door at the veranda is closed and go downstairs.

Kairo and Sai are waiting at the dining room. They brought dinner.

Right after they arrived, they asked me how's Rai and I told them that she was asleep.

I volunteered to see if she's awake, knowing that she is, but she's not.

"Isn't she awake?" Kairo ask me as I enter the dining room.

"No, she seems so tired and dreaming so much." I answer, sitting in front of them.

"Then we are going to eat without her. I hope to talk to her more, you're lucky to be left with her Kino" Sai said in a sad voice, he seems jealous.

"We can eat with her for the coming meals Sai." Kairo said.

"And, you can talk with her more this coming days." I add with a smile.

"Yeah." Sai agree.

We ate in silence.

I want to ask Kairo about the papers, but I can ask him for that tomorrow.

"By the way," Kairo break the silence.

We look at him.

"The club is already approved, but we still need the signatures of the Student Council." Kairo said. He's deliberating something.

"That will be another problem. They are solemnly against our club, even if it's not yet approved." I said, staring at my plate.

"I won't let them get in our way. Everything is set; I won't let them ruin it. I will do anything to make them agree." Kairo said sincerely.

"I'll help too, even if I have to accept they're request." I said.

Since 1st year, the vice president of the student council wants me to be their campaign manager every election and to be theirs, and I don't know why they still need me when they always win.

"No. I won' let you join that stupid Student Council. They don't worth you Kino. Your mine." He said, before he continues eating.

I was silent.

He's right, I'm his. He gives me this new life, he helped me to be alive again, and I know that he needed me as his brother.

"Thanks Kairo." I hiss.

"You're welcome Kino." He answers.

I see him smiling again, while talking with Sai about Raira.

I'm focus on my own thoughts while eating.

"Don't!" Its Raira's voice, screaming.

I hurriedly stand and run upstairs, not worrying about my appendix, Kairo and Sai run too.

"Rai!" I hurried to her side, her face hidden in her palms. She's sweating, and I think she's crying.

"Rai… are you okay?" Kairo ask.
