Yoongi had never attended a funeral before. His grandparents had died long before his birth and he didn't know of any relatives that died. They could have, but he had never been close with his family. He found it strange that he was attending a funeral for his friend's brother before he went to one for his family.

It was also a first to see Jungkook so...hurt. Maybe hurt was an understatement, but he didn't have any words to describe what he saw. The maknae shed tears as he watched his hyung being lowered into the ground. The tears doubled until he was full blown sobbing. Jungkook's parents rushed to comfort him.

Yoongi was sure he was probably thinking about all the good times he shared with his hyung. And realizing how bad he had been treating him by ignoring his texts and calls. Yoongi knew Jungkook was blaming himself. People refused to accept death and Jungkook was no exception.

Yoongi followed the others to accompany Jungkook and his parents. He watched from a few feet away as the others comforted him. He didn't know what to tell him in a situation like this. He personally hated when people told him everything would be okay when he knew it wouldn't.

"Yoongi-hyung, you coming?" Hoseok's voice interrupted his thoughts. Yoongi noddd and followed everyone to the cars.

Seokjin had never felt this bad in his life. He hated the idea of leaving the maknae's side, but Jungkook's parents had told Seokjin it was for the best. That Jungkook needed to sort things out by himself for a bit. Seokjin still felt he should be there for him. All of Jungkook's friends should have been there.

But, Seokjin hadn't pressed the topic and now he was seated his usual booth, at his usual café, waiting for his order to arrive. Seokjin held his hands together and clenched so tight, his knuckles became white. He hated this feeling.

"Ah, Seokjin-ah." The voice was sweet, familiar music to his ears. He quickly loosened his grip and gave Somin a smile as she placed a plate full of sugar dusted cookies and a cup of hot chocolate before him. Seokjin gestured for her to sit in front of him, a bright grin on his face. "Hey, how are you?"

"It's been...great." Seokjin lied.

"No pictures today, huh?" Somin asked, helping herself to one of his cookies. Seokjin smiled and shrugged.

"I sent them somewhere to get copied." He informed her, taking a sip of his hot drink. A moment of slience passed.

"So, what's today's occasion?" Somin asked. She gestured to his black suit and tie. "Job interview, wedding...?"

"Funeral." Seokjin nearly whispered. The happiness on her face disappeared and her smile dropped. Seokjin already knew what was next. Pity and apologies. He was already feeling sorry for the days that had yet to come for Jungkook, the one with the biggest loss. "My friend's brother passed away."

"Oh...That must be tough." Somin responded sadly. She lowered her eyes. "You must've been close."

"I wasn't that close, but seeing my friend cry is too difficult to deal with." Seokjin admitted. It had been the first time Seokjin had seen Jungkook cry and it tore his heart to shreds. the idea of seeing any of his friends crying was heartbreaking.

"Well, with a friend like you, I'm pretty sure he'll be okay." Somin assured him. She gave Seokjin a warm smile, which he tried to return. She gently covered his hands with hers. Seokjin felt the warmth radiating from her hands, comforting him. " I should get back to work. I hope you feel better soon."

Somin stood and began to leave. Her words had been like a blanket protecting him from the cold.

"Somin!" he called. She spun around, a smile on her face. "Can...can I get your number..?"
