I'm unsure of how many parts there are, but here's the first!

Oh, by the way, I just thought I should explain what a futon is; it's a Japanese bed which is kind of like a sleeping bag or bed you'd make to sleep on the floor. ________________________________________________________________

On a hot summer day, a 6 year old girl got lost in the forest of the mountain God. The forest of the mountain God was said to be where spirits lived. After running around searching for a way home, she became so tired she couldn’t move. When the girl started to cry from fear and loneliness, he appeared before her.

“Hey! Shortie!” A voice was heard from within the forest.

The girl looked up and around, wondering where the voice came from. It wasn't long before the teary-eyed girl saw the boy, standing behind a tree. He looked about 17 years of age and was wearing black pants, a red t-shirt and an open white button on. On his face was a white cat mask, with a cats facial features painted on. The mask covered the boys whole face and his white hair was visible.

“Why are you crying?” He asked.

The girl stared at him for a moment as the realisation that someone else was in the forest hit her. Hurriedly standing up, she ran towards the boy with her arms out wide. A smile lit up her features.

“It’s a person! I’m saved!” She yelled. Before she could reach him,  the boy quickly moved to the side,  behind a tree. This caused the girl to miss him completely. She tripped and fell face first into the grass. He stared at her as she continued to lay on the ground face-first for a few seconds. Finally holding herself up, she shook the grass from her hair before staring at the boy grumpily.

“S-sorry.” He stuttered awkwardly as the girl continued to glare at him.

“...You’re a human child, right?” He added after a moment.

The girl was taken aback by the odd question.

“Hm?” She said; her eyes now wide and curious.

“If a human touches me, I’ll disappear.” The boy explained.

“If a human…?” The girl replied as she continued to stare at him. “You’re not human?”

“I’m… Something that lives in this forest.” He replied.

“Eh? What? Then… You’re one of the spirits!?” The girl said excitedly, now smiling.

“But… What do you mean  by disappear?” She added.

The girl stared at him curiously, as he did not answer her question. She then slowly reached to touch him, but he moved away swiftly. She then tried again faster this tim, but he still dodged her. Again. She started to laugh as she chased the boy a few more times, finding it quite entertaining. Like a childrens game. But the boy thought otherwise. When she tried again, the boy was against a tree. He had grabbed hold of a stick and hit her head with it. Thud.

“Ow-woo!” The girl went to the ground, holding her head in her hands in pain.

“Y-you’re really not human after all…” She cried. “No human would hit a child like that!”

“To disappear is to be obliterated.” The boy answered her previous question and stared at the girl with the stick still in his hand.

The girl, holding her forehead with her hand, sat up and looked at the boy. He was looking away, into the distance.

“That’s the spell that the mountain God placed upon me.” He said clearly. “If I get touched by a human, that’s the end.” The boys voice lowered as he finished his sentence.

You've reached the end of published parts.
