Ch 3: Snowed In

Inside, Wayne began to worry knowing that Logan, Shaggy, and Scooby should have been back inside by now. He had to go out to see where they are. As he began to get bundled up to go outside Fred and the girls stop him.

Fred asked, "what are you doing?"

Wayne sighs, "Shaggy and Scooby took Logan outside to dump the trash but... they should have come back now it doesn't take that long to take the trash out."

"Maybe we can come help find them."

Wayne looks at Daphne and smiles, "yes, that will be great if you do."

With that, they all got to bundle up and head outside. Austin began to worry knowing his father and the gang wouldn't go outside unless it's important and he did remember Logan wanting to take the trash out. He got his coat on forgetting to put his boots on and zip his coat up and ran outside to see Wayne and the gang began to call out for Scooby, Shaggy, and Logan.

He looks forward to seeing the coffin sleigh in the snow all bang up from the fall. Austin gulps knowing that this wasn't normal as he looks to see footprints in the snow. He knows when he saw dog print in the snow it was Scooby's so he knew Shaggy and Logan had gone with Scooby but there were two more unfamiliar footprints not far from Scooby's footprints which scared Austin a whole lot.

"Hey, why is there a coffin sleigh here?"

Wayne and the others went to where Daphne was looking at and saw the coffin sleigh. Fred shrugs as he was unsure what the sleigh was even doing here and not far from the Inn.

Wayne was puzzled, "I don't see anyone around so... why is it doing here?"

Suddenly eight reindeers appear looking at Wayne and the gang with curiosity. They all scream when they saw the reindeers.

Velma then looks at the skeleton reindeers closely, "hm... if these are animation type to look like dead raindeers they did a pretty good job."

Wayne nods, "yeah, they look so real whoever made them really had a spirit to have both Halloween and Christmas together."

Austin looks to see why everyone scream as his eyes widened with fear.

Fred look over to see Austin not far from where they were standing to shake in shock and fear.

"Hey what are you doing out here, Austin?"

Wayne quickly turns around and was shocked to see his youngest son outside.

"Austin, you'll suppose to stay inside! Get back in the house now!"

Austin was too shocked to see the reindeers that he didn't pay any attention to what his father had to say or told him what to do. Suddenly a loud howling growl was heard of the distance almost like a werewolf howl. This freaked Austin out as he took off towards the woods.

"Austin come back!"

They all try to follow the boy but the wind began to howl and brew strongly making the footprints disappear in the wet snow.

"Austin!" Call out Wayne but he couldn't find his youngest son, "great, first I lost Logan now I just lost Austin!"

"Don't worry Wayne," said Fred trying to reassure his friend, "we find them all."

Daphne sighs as she looks at the trees, "oh... I hope Scooby and Shaggy are alright."

Austin kept on running till he suddenly bumped into someone and fell backward into the snow. Austin shakes his head unsure of what just happened.

"Oh, are you alright? My bad I wasn't really watching where I was going."

Austin looks up to see a skeleton a bit taller than him wearing an orange sweatshirt, black pants, and a black cape flowing with the wind. The boy's eyes widened as he screams in fear.
