CHAPTER 3: HIGH SCHOOL DAYS 🏫

Hey it's me again.. I'm begging you guys  to forgive me, I know two weeks for one chapter(i can hear someone muttering three) Please don't kill me for this..
   So I'm gonna give you what I promised,
Ayo's high school life... Well here you'll find some ups and downs, pls read enjoy and comment. Wait something new has come up, Ayo said I should take it for him.. (spoiler alert: he said he can't say the love part that I should help him with it all).. Enjoy.
  
   So here we go back to Ayo's high school. 12th grade to be precise. In Nigeria, high school is known as senior secondary school and middle school junior secondary school, at least that's what I've heard so far. 12th grade is known as sss3, 11th grade as sss2 you get it.
  
  Now back to when he was in ss3, as you all know, that year was, and will always be one of the best years in everyone's  life. It was the year of much fun. The year you had to stand up or you be a loser forever. Being the final year of secondary school, guys had so much fun coz they hook up with the 'ladies'. Guys like Fola and Owohs had the luck with girls, their charm was just too powerful. (Forget them Ayo sees them as spoil sports).

  As you all know, there comes a time when in every man's life,  you need a woman. Ayo had a crush on this girl, ( hey no love symbols. Tell me you guys didn't and we'll don't still crush on people). Well he still does. She's light in complexion, she has the perfect shape of a slim model, guys argue that she's the cutest. Her smile,  Oh Gawd.. Anytime Ayo sees it, he gets frozen in time. I was doubting if she was that beautiful.. Let me describe the conversation that took place between both of us.

{ Me: is she that beautiful?
Ayo:  I can't describe her enough..
Me:   you said her smile freezes you. Let me see her picture (crossing arms)
Ayo: OK.  No problem..(he brings out the photo and hands it to me)
Me: (collecting the photo and turning it till I can see it clearly)
Ayo: well what do you say, isn't she marvelous?
Me: (no response)
Ayo: Hey I'm talking to you.
Me: (no response)
Ayo: (sighs) everytime I show them,  same thing happens.}

  Now back to earth. Like I described. When I saw her picture, I froze. I think her charm is so strong. Her pose in the picture was striking. She smiled fully. She was well at the sea shore and was she on wa.. *Oh get on with it*.. Sorry
   (Let me continue before he kills me)
  Most of the time, he stares at her always when she's not looking. During maths class, he ends up drawing her on his worksheet from behind. This makes him lose concentration and end up solving maths  problems in maths class. 😂 (such a geezer). <you are probably wondering why she wasn't hooked with guys like Fola and owohs, the reason is simple, it's because guys don't want to ruin chances with her, so they don't go straight to the point. They believe that her post as a perfect in the school shows she has no time for stuffs like this.
   There was a time she and Ayo were in the class alone. (OMG) Ayo saw this as the perfect opportunity to tell her. The shy teen stood up and walked towards her. She had her head over a novel until she noticed a shadow obscuring the text on the book. She looked up and saw a figure, her eyes adjusting, she saw a familiar face looking away. It was Ayo's. The boy just stood there, like a statue.   
    Pardon me,  😁 let me describe the conversation took place at that scene.

{Ayo:(moving towards her) < I just have to tell her. She can't kill me, the
worst is she won't talk to me.. No that's bad I have to go back>(movingback) < no this is a good opportunity, I can't just let it pass>(going back to the direction of her seat) < what if she doesn't take it well, not helping>(he finally got to her seat after moving forward and backwards wrestling with his head. He stood in front of her, then he stared at her for some micro seconds before she looked up.

Girl: Hey what's up,(she notices him.  looking away while she speaks to him to gain his focus) hey Ayo take a seat, (she shifted gesturing him to sit) Look at me, I don't bite, she said smiling. (She could swear something red appeared over his dark face)

Ayo: (smiles back as he tried looking at her face. He sees her eyes then his breath tightened) hi. ( he finally struggled that out of his stiff mouth)
Girl: hey, Ayo how are you doing,

Ayo: <she knows my name> I'm fine. Thanks Simi.(he stammered)

Simi: so what's up, you were standing over my table, do you want to tell me something?(she said her eyes meeting his).
  Ayo: (he looked away quickly but summoned all his courage to talk) yeah, I wanted to ask you something.( his voice began to fade)
Simi: go on, it's not like you are going to be killed or something
Ayo: well, I wanted to ask if you *the big moment*(his voice was failing, this was his moment, he was struggling. What should he say, how should he say it he couldn't take it anymore) I wanted to ask if you have two pens. *I shook my head in laughter when he told me this*
Simi: Oh Yh I do (she bends down removing a pen from her backpack.
Ayo: <screw it! big time fuck up! She's just so pretty and I'm just so, ME! >
Simi: here have it, it's yours now (handing the pen to Ayo)
Ayo: really, thanks. (taking the pen, making sure it doesn't fall). You are a saver.
Simi: thanks Ayo. To admit, you are quite good looking, she said holding my shoulder.
Ayo: <Oh my God She called me good looking. Waoh in my diary> (the red across his face deepens) thank you, we you are......
( The bell interrupts his statement)
Simi: gotta go, have to meet up with a teacher, it's nice talking to you.
Ayo: you too <she called me good looking, oh my God. I gotta start ironing properly. I must impress her> < too bad I couldn't tell her if I can't tell her with words,  maybe I'll try to impress her. >

Well to cut the story short,  high school ended without him asking her out. Such a loser right? I said so myself.
 
The funny thing was that his method of impressing her pissed her off. So she got along with another guy who was his friend. He cursed himself for losing her.

Unknowing to him, she wasn't dating the guy. She was just trying to get close to Ayo but he gave up on her.
They just don't know what fate brings them to in the future.

{Me: Auch!! That hurts.
Ayo: I gave you a story to tell now you. are revealing..
Me: OK I promise it's d only spoiler alert I'll give them
Ayo: it better be}
